Dude. Your editing is as good as your trombone playing. And that is saying something. Excellent!

finally. trombone editing that doesn't forcefully slur EVERY DAMN THING. this being edited the way it way was crucial to prevent that specifically. so now every bit feels more accented instead of slurred through the heavy bits (i know its basically impossible to NOT slur fast notes on a trombone, but 2:30 is an example of notes that NEED to be separate, but couldn't if it was just a single trombone player.)

In case some people don't know, you've all probably heard Bill Reichenbach play hundreds or thousands of times but didn't know it. If you've heard any tune with a trombone on it in the last 40 years, chances are Bill played it. What a beast. And still going strong.

The Australian radio station Triple J made reference to this project/video today (4/2/2020). They were kind of teasing about how niche the idea of an international festival solely about trombones was, but then started really praising the arrangement as, admittedly, it is an absolute tune. I just think it’s funny how my initial reaction to the audio was “huh, that sounds like that Christopher Bill bloke from KZbin”, and lo and behold, this just pops up in my feed... I loved it.

It's really cool because if you play in honor groups you see some of these people. I play in Pacific Symphony Wind Symphony and Karen Marston is our soloist for Harvest: Concerto for Trombone by John Mackey. She is a really good player and that Harvest piece is super challenging for even players so the soloist has so much pressure put on them. Sadly it was stopped bc of COVID. The concert was 2 days away at Segerstrom Concert hall. Hope you see this Bill!
