This message is for Daft Punk. I want to be angry, I want to be sad. I cannot help to be sad. We had 2 generations in my home who listen to you. Now, what? Nothing..... So many of your songs were to dance to, others were to relate to. Within was one to relate to. We are going to miss you. I'm 56, my son is 21. So you know who you have touched, this age range is monumental. We will miss you more than you will ever know. Be blessed and thank you for the years you contributed to our lives.

And I am 16, my mother (god bless her soul) and I have been listening to this wonder of a duo since I was around 4 or 5 years old, to the point of basically dedicating songs to each other from this wonder of a duo, and all I can remember the night I lost her was dedicating this song to her lifeless body inside a coffin that had a glass compartment and a total lack of sleep due to.. you know,.. losing her... and remembering all of those times when we were dancing to One More Time, or when we were analyzing Human After All or also rejoycing when R.A.M. came out after an 8-year hiatus

I remember hating this album, thinking that daft punk sold out. I used to think this album was terrible, and refused to listen to it. Now, three years later, I come back to this song among the others of off Random Access Memories and realize this is one of their best releases. In fact, I'd say its on par with Discovery.

There are so many things that I don't understand There's a world within me that I can not explain Many rooms to explore but the doors look the same I am lost I can't even remember my name This songs made me, among many other people, realize that we truly don't know who we are and we want. Today's life is lead on autopilot. Most of the time, the decisions we make are influenced by other people's opinion, not ours. Most of the time we care about other people's opinions, not ours. We're all just lost. We think we know what we want, but most of us don't actually. We live in a world where all of a sudden we are presented by so many choices for careers and futute that we get overwhelmed and lost. The pressure put on all people is high because the demands for a 'functional' world as it is today are high. We are distracted with the flash and glamour. Instead of focusing on me, me, me so much, let's invest time and energy in other people. Not for the benefit of us and for having an upper hand on them later on. But for the benefit of mankind. One good deed per day can change so much. Both for you and the other person. Let's do good. Take it one day at a time.

It's curious how a simple song can bring you many feels at the same time: sadness, distress, loneliness... This feelings stay inside a being (probably a robot) who seems lost in many ways... If you know what i mean. (Well, that's my way of interpreting it) Such an emotional deep lyrics. Absolutely amazing, a masterpiece.

I was literally listening to them last night, and this last week. I honestly can't believe that this would happen, especially with all that they've done together. I even remember when they released "Get Lucky" on my birthday on KZbin and me always jamming too it even last night. Truly iconic, and legendary. A duo that will always be remembered for its memorable iconic and legendary moments which in my opinion were one of the best duos ever. Thank you for everything, Daft Punk, you will truly be missed. I honestly didn't expect this to happen so early, but like they always say every great thing always has a start and then an end. Truly missed and one of the best artists in history. Glad to have been able to exprience them throughout all these years & to hear them. All the best to the future for the both of them. 😭🤧👏💫👑🔝🙏👑💙🐐🌍♾

i had a similar experience, I listened to them on the morning of the day that they announced their split. I hadn't listened to their music in several months either. This band means a lot to me in spite of that. Homework was the first album I ever bought (I was just 7). This is the first band or just artist in general I could say I was ever into.

Random Access Memories is definitely in my top 10 to save from the zombie apocalypse...everytime I found a deeper layer, it is a work of art, masterpiece in it's aparent simplicity for everything it means. For everything it evokes. For everything it stands for. I have been a huge fan since the first album, but I cant thank you enough beloved Daft Punk! I Los amo! Jet'aime!

This is not about robots, you cant understand it so directly ("robots need love..." etc). This is about humans, who are becoming robots. That's what happening with all of us now -- we are becoming robots -- everyone is sitting in their own bubble-helmet of smartphones, TVs and computers 24/7. And we do not give a sh about anything or anyone else. This is a call to become humans again.

Individualism has ravaged us, we are past the point of return. Atleast the entire western society, 99% of them are high, going through life on autopilot disregarding reality only caring about themselves. “Mind your own business, who cares what you or i do” “i can do whatever i want, my body my choice” “Who are you to change me? im unique” Examples, ironic how when everyone becomes “unique” no one is. No one cares about eachother, or society anymore. Everyone for their own. Some dwell in lust, and greed and self destruct and end up lost and dead inside. and they wonder why. Foolish egomaniacs, individualists.
