そうですね。 You can keep itは英語圏でとてもナチュラルに使われる表現です。日本語でキープというと保つ?みたいな感覚ですが、例えば消しゴムを借りて返そうとして「You can keep it」と言われれば「それあげる。」という意味です。この日本語で言うあげるにピッタリな言葉が英語のkeepです。keepにはこのニュアンスがあります。

oh shit you were in cebu! i was watching the video you did about what you thought about filipino english and it made me wonder where in the philippines you were. i grew up in cebu and studied in an international school. im a half japanese and half filipino. Also a bilingual, i guess, japanese and english speaker. i also can speak a little cebuano, and learned spanish in school. just wanted to say your videos are informative and very entertaining. kudaranai tokoro mo arushi, omoroi desu!
