It's seems like he found God outside of religion, and that's really the best way. Once you separate God from religion it really gets great. There is such freedom. Omar Sharif was really, really special, and it's just amazing how life worked out. What a gift was his portrayal of Zhivago to the world. I once heard him say in an interview that Zhivago was the most perfect person he ever met. I know what he meant, because when I watch Zhivago I see a person who can still find something beautiful in the midst of such horror, and he never lost his humanity.

I've watched several interviews with Mr Sharif and everyone has something good to say about him. I watched Doctor Zhivago this morning. Love that movie and I also love Lawrence of Arabia. T. E. Lawrence in certain ways he looked like Peter O'Toole. I thought he was so beautiful in that movie. His youth, his gorgeous blonde hair and blue eyes. Two handsome men in the movie.
