It isn't lol. Would help if you knew the law. It can be considered as "false imprisonment" but it's not even close to "kidnapping". False imprisonment is more when you physically stop someone leaving some place, i.e you lock someone in a room against their will and prevent them from leaving. It would be akin to protestors completely surrounding a van stopping the driver moving in any direction, that might be treated as "wilful obstruction of the highway" instead due to the fact it's on a road but it could be considered for "false imprisonment".

​@@jonathonsmith6831 my previous comment exaggerated the attacking part, what i mean is that they are intimidating when they try to push the car and one of them looks like as if he was trying to reach for something inside in the car. protesters should not block the road whether calm or not, why doe they even do that? its not gonna fix the issue when they block the roads and force people to waste more fuel to take a longer route.

That has to be the argument everyone makes. When surrounded by a mob then surely you have every right to assume their intentions pose a risk to you and/or your property and to therefore defend yourself by driving through them. Which he did without hurting anyone and at some risk to himself as they may have been able to get into the vehicle whilst he was going so slowly.
