I've always wondered about that. It probably depends on the specifics. The Anglin brothers were confirmed to be in Brazil after they and Frank Morris escaped from Alcatraz via a photo. As much as it LOOKS like Brian did do this crime, it saddens me that so many people want to just “decide” he IS a murderer and condemn him publicly without even a fair trial. I have a son whom everyone has “decided” is guilty of a local crime-who had nothing to do with it at all, except that he was there. He didn’t hide from police questioning because he was not guilty. But Social media people “decided” the crime was his, and the police had no ready answers to the public of who did do it, so he got swept up into being “the one”- except -he just wasn’t! He’s being framed so badly that the DA even said in paperwork that I was there during his questioning (!??) -and I definitely wasn’t! The police since know who did it, and have even arrested that person!! But because of social media’s tidal wave, they’re still trying to tie my son to it because they simply don’t want ‘egg’ on the face of their department!!! It’s a mess, and they WILL soon have egg on their faces because of trial EVIDENCE. EVIDENCE should decide Brian’s guilt or innocence. as EVIDENCE will definitely prove innocence for my son. But please remember that whether or not Brian did this, in our country we are supposed to be innocent UNTIL proven otherwise, not guilty by the public’s wound up opinions. Yes, of course It sure LOOKS like Brian did it, but there SHOULD be a little doubt in everyone’s mind (if you’re human,) until there’s a FAIR trial of proof or he admits it. What IF, for instance, he left her there alone “to cool off” during a fight-just drove off angry-someone else saw him drive away, someone else also hiking, who killed her for psychotic reasons. There are lots of hikers in that area,. Even a different decayed body was found down the road a ways just a couple of days later. NOT linked to Brian-(and we’ve all watched shows where a deranged person just happens on their victim.) Could that person also have killed Gabby while we all think it’s Brian?? It does happen where a mentally ill person happens repeatedly upon an innocent person and becomes serial. There IS that shred of doubt, even a slim doubt. What if Brian returned an hour later, saw her dead, totally panicked because he’s only an immature 23, and ran away to home knowing other people will think he did it (due to the last police encounter plus the two women found dead about the time he and Gabby were in Moab) so now, he’s still foolishly running? I have no explanation for his parents’ silence but that’s another story if they helped him run. He may have convinced them to give him time or something. (Going through what I am with police & DA being unfair I “might” see where they stayed silent initially not knowing what to do, but everyone should know that “won’t help bad news get better”- you fight it in court the right way. And just tell the truth for the sake of Gabby’s poor parents!!) Saying he’s innocent until proven guilty is not popular right now (unless it’s you-then you’d want the benefit of the doubt!) but it IS POSSIBLE. Which is why courts were made. Today, “courts” seem to be run by opinions of the public. And I can see how that can work out badly if you actually DIDN’T do it. I’ll still choose to wait. If it’s proven he did do it, it’s the saddest thing ever and I just feel sorrow for all involved. We ALL should wait. None of us were in those woods while Gabby was, and we weren’t there to see anything. We are only armchair detectives....and our opinions don’t count.

I mean, I don't believe that he would've packed up the tent and put out the fire and leave her body there buried or not. He's not helping his case and neither are his parents. Why clean the van? @@wendycrawford1792 Hi Wendy. I've got to say, I'm rather skeptical of this supposed sighting. While Dennis appears to be genuine, it doesn't make a lot of sense for a fugitive to speak to a complete stranger about fighting with his girlfriend etc. The only way it would make any sense is if there's some kind of mental illness. There has been some suggestion that Brian had episodes and heard voices, which if true points to psychosis and possibly schizophrenia. It's interesting to note statistics show that males in their mid 20s is often when symptoms of schizophrenia emerge. Who knows? I hope that Dennis just isn't one of these people trying to capitalize on this tragedy and trying to get his 15 minutes of fame. A question to ask is 'Did Dennis get paid for his media interviews?' I guess, only time will tell, and let's hope they can track down Brian where ever he is. Personally, I think it's more probable he took a boat of some kind and fled to Cuba, South America or Mexico and entered illegally without crossing a checkpoint. Sooner or later his money will run out and that's when he's more likely to surface. I think it's only going to be a matter of time, but as has happened in some rare cases, some fugitives have remained at large for years. I doubt though Brian has that skill set. Fingers crossed they catch him soon.
@lolawants20083 жыл бұрын
@@bipolarbear9917 yeah I feel it would be more likely for *me to run by boat given where he was in Florida. To your other point- no the only explanation if it was him is not mental illness. He could be setting up insanity. But not only that. I’ve known narcissist/sociopaths & they are pathological in their lying. So 1st I think it’s possible he’s ready to be caught (bc he doesn’t see another way out) & setting up insanity defense. Second it’s possible that he was desperate at that point- lost & needed to ask someone to help get on track or risk even more exposure.. he was asking for directions to take him AWAY from the Appalachian trail many people were looking for him in. it was nighttime, he’s probably grown beard, hair, he had a bandana on his head, & that kind of talking by these people can just simply be about appearing normal, filling what might be awkward silence or someone looking at u too closely, emotional manipulation, or Freudian slip if he’s continuing to mentally deteriorate under stress. You don’t know how sleep deprivation alone can alter your especially split second thinking. It could have also been an over compensation- the way an insecure guy at a bar might blather on about his non existent hot girlfriend, precisely bc he doesn’t have one.. Brian could’ve been talking about his girlfriend (to distance himself from a fugitive with a dead girlfriend). We know he was overly talking about his girlfriend when he was picked up hitchhiking too, after she was already dead & it seemed like he was trying to do it on purpose.

To think he was supposedly in love, engaged, to someone wonderful, had his life ahead of him, could enjoy the great outdoors, all just a little over a month ago. Now he has likely killed the woman he supposedly loved, no longer has her, will feel awful for the rest of his life for what he did to her, will miss her, and will either be on the run always, or be behind bars, an outdoors-person who wanted his freedom, who will be locked up and not able to be out enjoying nature. And he is one of the most hated people in America. He threw his life away, and is making it worse every day, by not coming forward.

@Rebecca 💫 Yes, you're so right. He *was* controlling. And yes, he's getting a whole different taste of the outdoors, being on the run, looking over his shoulder, not being able to travel around in a gas guzzling Transit van to plop down in some majestic area for a few days and pretend he's roughing it, not having Gabby's credit card now to waltz into a natural foods store to buy whatever he wants and not get tackled by customers gleeful to apprehend him.

In an interview that Gabby’s friend gave, very early in this search, she mentioned that Gabby would stay at her house to get away from him when he was having “episodes”. I think his mental health needs to be explored in reference to Gabby’s death and the death of the Texas man found deceased in the same area as Gabby, and the married women, who were camping in the area, that were found dead. Too many dead people in Brian Laundrie’s vicinity this summer.

Imaginations running wild. Brian was in FL on the 17th. The Texas guy had never hiked or camped before. He was so inept he was carrying heavy gear in a duffle bag like a suitcase on a steep trail 17 miles away from Spread Creek. He was off trail either bc he got lost or was trying to get to a site clear and level enough for a tent. He probably didnt know about the dangers of hypothermia. He disappeared on 8/20 when Brian was in FL. That night a big storm blew in to upper Utah with hurricane winds and rain with snow at higher elevations. Did this cold rainy weather make it as far as the Tetons?

This gentleman’s story seems totally credible. So his accent isn’t from the area, so what. He said that he wasn’t from the area himself. He was on an annual 4 day trip, meeting up with a friend the next morning. I think the story that Brian told him was another ‘plant’ by Brian, pretending he has been contacted by his girlfriend. Brian, probably isn’t aware that she has been found, so he’s spinning a story that he’s going to meet up with his estranged girlfriend as a cover.
