Thank you, Ryan!!! Choices everyday: 1. Is this essential? 2. Attack the Dawn. 3. Make beautiful choices. 4. Choose your lens. 5. Don't procrastinate. 6. We are what we do (habit and virtue). 7. Be in the Moment. 8. Be a Force for Good. 9. Choose NOT to be "harmed." 10. Be strict with yourself. 11. Practice Acceptance 12. Acquire fearlessness. (Stop worrying about the future). 13. Create boundaries. 14. Fight for yourself --- Fight to be the person Stoicism wants you to be.

0:17: 💡 Stoicism is a philosophy about making better choices and practicing essential habits. 2:38: 💪 To become beautiful, make beautiful choices and take action. 5:28: 🌅 Take action now and make choices that align with your values to become a better version of yourself. 8:23: ✨ The Stoics believed that happiness comes from accepting and being grateful for the present moment, doing the right thing, and being a force for good in the world. 10:51: 💡 Take responsibility for your own emotions and choose not to be affected by others. Embrace death to live in the present moment. Set boundaries to protect yourself and maintain control of your own life. 13:37: 📚 Stoicism encourages individuals to strive for self-improvement and the common good, but it is ultimately up to each person to follow the principles. I noticed I’ve been a stoic all my life without knowing I was a stoic. I’ve been put down, mistreated and yet I’ve never gave those people permission to hurt me. So here I’m…at 65…in one piece and smiling in gratitude. Memento mortis…that’s my inspiration. Amore fati…made me strong!

Thank you for the video, i want to share some of my routine: 1.Cultivating the Gratitude, start the day with telling myself what i am grateful about. 2.Finding joy in simple pleasures, whatever i am doing, making breakfast, walking outside (no matter the weather) just feel joy in everything you do. 3.Embracing mortality, when you understand that your time is not infinite, you start to value it more, procrastination disappears, gratitude comes. 4.Reminding myself my purpose. 5.Showing kindness to other. Is it complimenting others, helping others, or any other type of kindness. Stay Strong, Stay Stoic.

I think a huge thing to remember is that when he wrote each of these he was literally writing it as a lesson to himself! All of these motivations have to come internally for a person to stay consistent. Another thing is if you spend your time with people that are vain you will think like them eventually, and the reverse is also true. I love the content it really is a noble mission to disperse this information and really explain it in depth! I can see by the look in your eyes when you shoot these videos, that your motivations, your “why” is to reach out to people who are ready to change the way they think but haven’t figured out how

I spent two months locked up (later found innocent of any crime). I'm grateful that I found Daily Stoic a year prior to that happening. Another inmate, someone who was already a friend on the outside who had been locked up numerous times (it was my first) said, "you can't even tell that you're green. You're handling this better than I am". I credit stoicism for that, because it was in my top five worst experiences (I'm extremely claustrophobic, was worried about my calico cat, and was facing 5-20). Thank you Epictetus (and Ryan Holiday for introducing me to him)

My wife and I are building a Mountain Timber Frame lodge style cabin in the mountains on a 1.5 acre parcel of "raw" land we purchased in 2016 after renting for 40 years. Bought a small sawmill, milled all the lumber ourselves and building the cabin with our own hands. The greatest adventure of our lives. And our children who are now grown are helping us build. All "debt-free". Is it easy? Hahaha. No. Do we have any regrets? No. We have lived a wonderful life no matter where we lived or what we had to do to give our children a loving and safe home. Married 34 years (together 39). We are best friends and partners. Our lives are our own. I don't care what anyone thinks about our choices. We have a plan and a vision and it's beautiful. Your life is a product of the choices you make. Be your own Hero as Joseph Campbell said and "Follow your bliss".

Just remember this fundamental lesson: sometimes the best use of your day is putting on the silly hat to make your friend laugh. Because you're not guaranteed tomorrow and it's the connections you have that make life worth it. Everything in moderation even stoicism. You have to let yourself live a little, but not to the point that it delays or upsets your goals. Have a piece of cake, don't have the whole cake. Little pleasures are necessary to keep your motivation. Spend time doing the little things with your your family and closest friends because one day you'll realize that the little things were the things that mattered most to them.

Make the choices but also pay attention to being 'in' those choices as choices and the effects, the view, the feedback. Jump in the cold bath, but don't just check the box - feel the cold, pay attention to the sensation and reflect on the comparative results of your choice. Try to internalize an ongoing feedback loop around your choices.
