I work as an IDVA (independent domestic violence advocate), and this is proper textbook perpetrator behaviour. Perpetrators of abuse trying to present themselves as the victim is extremely common. Its is very important to be mindful of it escalating though, especially now that he has been exposed again publicly. The more out of control he feels, the more likely he is to cause harm, whether it be emotional, physical, or psychological, so just bare that in mind and be ready. He's an ABUSER by nature so just be careful, coz post separation domestic abuse is a real thing and it's when the victim leaves and tries to get on with their life is when the real shit starts going down, as perpetrators are not able to cope with the feeling of not being in control of their victims. Your a good woman and you are gonna go far in life.🙌🏽

Girl I’m so sorry for what you went through 😢 genuinely hope you heal. Therapy is an amazing tool and helped me navigate through a lot of emotion and feeling I had after lots of stuff. I’m an advocate for everybody having therapy and believe it’s so needed for all of us who go through such abuse, betrayal and just hard things in life. Please don’t do yourself a disservice and allow his abuse and the impact of it remain. In his video, he references a clip of yours where you basically say “that’s how you know I’ve done nothing wrong, when he wants to be friends.” And he used that, among other things, as a way to say, “see? How can I be her abuser if we’re still this close?” For anyone reading, just because a person wants to befriend you, it doesn’t mean neither you nor them have been abusive. Just because a person wants to be your friend even after you’ve been abusive, it doesn’t mean nothing happened. It doesn’t mean they’ve got the right idea. It could mean that they just want things to be on better terms (whether it’s the healthy decision or not). It could mean the person wants to regain some sort of control. Who knows? But don’t allow “friendship” or “wanting friendship” as leverage to say there’s been no abuse nor will there be in future. I really wanted to befriend my abusive ex. I learned the hard way that it just can’t be.
