In our new house we had the orange pine everywhere - doors (there are a lot of doors!), windowsills, skirting boards! All now painted white. My husband and I were going through our little filing cabinet that we keep personal papers in and then we had our mail and junk mail we burnt our Shredder in but we really needed a new one anyway. But I understand the struggle is real. 😊

Hi Catherine, as soon as your video started I thought your hair looked beautiful. I thought you had changed the colour, it look’s so lush and healthy. I was putting off cleaning the tops of my kitchen cupboard’s, done it two day’s ago, took me a few hours but I managed to clean my kitchen from top to bottom. The blinds that Blondie rubs against most or passes to go out, you could wrap them in cling film maybe. Just change the clingfilm when needed. Looking forward to your book coming out. You are so handy...you could put a hinged door on your attic hatch opening, with an attached pull down ladder. Save yourself a lot of agravation and backaches!

So, I don’t have a proper attic is it makes sense, because it’s a bungalow Iv got his hobbit style attic 🤣 you can stand up in it, or climb in, so most attic ladders would be too large, maybe a cute custom wood one, I only go up once a year for the Christmas decorations,

Oh the orange pine!! We had the skirtings in that unique hue!! Thankfully they're painted over now!!! Oh and cats and windows- I can relate there too! They press their noses to the window and leave wee marks, and the paws carry in all sorts too! The joys of having feline friends lol! Take care!! 🙌

Soaking shades in the bathtub, helps get the strings clean too, or hanging the shade outside and using "hose end" window cleaner works great too, no scrubbing necessary, no drying except with the air, while the windows get washed. The whole house feels cleaner when windows are sparkling.

My to do list is soooo long! But the most annoying one is above the stairs, it's a really high ceiling with a couple of cobwebs in the corner, everytime I walk downstairs I say to myself that I'll do it next time I go up...but next time I forget to get the long extendable duster so it keeps getting put off 🙃 Your hair looks fab! Might just have to give it a go 🥰

Bless your little heart ❤️ everyone has jobs like that, we need to get done! Blinds are the worst and windows too ! Have a TIP for you tho, since you drink loads of tea. After they cool and dry open them and put into the garden. It’s great for keeping the ants and other bugs away and it’s good for the soil as well.

Great video - your hair is 'mwah!' (that me blowing an air kiss admiring your beauty ;) ) I tried something similar in my hair but I ended up with a birds nest (story of my life haha) I have sooooo many jobs staring at me balefully. I think the next one for me is rescuing my fireplace. Its a bricked up one but I still like to keep it and its mantel to give the illusion of homey-ness. Currently it sits there challenging me in its beige spray paint, 60s tiles and dust. So I am armed with some carved wood onlays and applique (I've probably got the wrong words there) that I am going to stick on the tiles and then give it a good paint (clean, sand, prime first of course ;) ) in some shade of white so hopefully it looks a bit classier and more antique-y when it is finished. Looks great in my head, real life though is always a slap in the face isn't it ;) I am so excited about your book! I pre-ordered it from Ireland (Eades? Again, I am probably wrong in that name too) and am really looking forward to its arrival!! Huge congrats on it hun - you're truly inspiring. As always, your videos lift my days from grey drudgery to Springtime happiness - thank you! You're so real showing the dust etc instead of being false and filter-perfect, makes me feel its ok to have some bits that need a good scrub, haha! Have a great week x

We have an accent wall in the living room that I am thoroughly sick of looking at! We have the paint but just haven't taken the time to get it painted! Fingers crossed...tomorrow's the day! We have blinds on all the windows in our house and I can't remember the last time I dusted the poor things. When the weather warms up, I'm taking them outside and giving a good wash with the hose! I'm sitting here in amazement at you changing the lock. Just can't get over it! That's one job i definitely wouldn't want to tackle. I don't think I've been putting off any jobs in the house. But i had been putting off multiple jobs in the garden! The combination of getting my deck rebuilt and finding your channel has inspired me to complete quite a transformation of my garden. I have a couple of bigger projects on mind to do maybe next month, but I'm going to just do a few fun and easy projects first. Thank you again for the inspiration!

I put my blinds in the bathtub, squirt with water, krud kutter then let sit for 20 min then spray with clean water put out side to dry. Then put up and use damp rag to wipe down incase anything is missed. Easy and so clean. 🌺❤🌺

You can shorten those blind very easily if they are like mine. Pop out the plastic buttons where the threads end under the bottom slat. Pull out the slats you don't need. Trim the threads, replace the buttons.

Catherine you can just take those blinds down , take them out side and spray them down with a hose..You can clean them with soap and water, and let them dry outside and then hang them back up..you can also wash your plastic shower curtains in the washing machine then just hang it back up to dry..

I usually take my blinds down. In the US, they slide into a bracket, so they are easy to take out. I then take them outside and hose them off, let the dry in the sun and then put them back in their bracket. The jet nozzle on my hose takes that nasty dust right off and brings them back to new.

I take the blind down, soak it in the tub for awhile, then spray it with a mixture of vinegar/water and Dawn and wipe it off.

Your hair is so lovely! We used socks to wrap our damp hair in overnight with very similar results. I admit my windows and ledges are in need of cleaning too and yes i would rather do anything else!
