Tip for plants, when you boil potatoes or veggies pour the boiled water from veg into a jug and let it cool you can use it for watering plants and it has loads of nutrients for the soil. Thanks for all your videos

Not only are you happy, but look at the happy garden. You've mentioned getting a greenhouse, that means more plants. Perhaps you would find it beneficial to start a mulch area...you will find it is like black gold for your garden.....it will take all the garden debris you tossed and break it down to fertilize and enhance your gardens. The Eveready Bunny doesn't have the ambition you have. Great job. I hope the mint is not in the ground....very invasive...uff da....speaking from a lesson learned. Your gardens are lovely.

Ive just watched this video. You’re doing a great job in your garden. I’d like to share some tips with you though. ( it’s meant to be constructive for you and not offensive ❤️) 1. Mulch. Keep it a few inches back from any tree’s bark to prevent rot happening. 2. Go crazy with farmhouse poop 😀 BUT In General leave it 2 weeks before use This is to let the ammonia in the pee lose it’s potency. 3. Put chicken poop in a container and water it down as a fertiliser. Fabulous stuff. 4. For a cottage garden look its recommended groups of 3 or 5 plants should be used for a natural look. 5. Double dig your garden beds. Best to look up a video or ask at your garden centre. 6. Cut the lavender back hard. It’s going to look sad for a bit but it will grow back. Don’t over water it either It likes it hot and dry. Hope that helps and ‘Jesus himself’ does pop in to inspect your work sometime 😊

It is always such a pleasure to watch your videos! You are just a sweetheart and a doll and it brings joy to me every time I watch anything of yours ☺️❣️❣️ But a few things to let you know one is to not get rid of your lavender but go ahead and cut it back all the way down put some of the manure around it and see if it comes back next year, give it one year 👍 secondly is to add some of your manure to the hydrangeas in the pots and that will give them some good nutrition to help them have what they need to put on blooms and give you the show you want from the flowers 😉❣️❣️ Just a little bit of my many years of knowledge to pass on to you 🤭❣️🥰❣️❣️❣️

Hello Catherine, how are you and Blondie? Well I hope. Catching up here I missed this one. A Tip :- There's a technique to improve soil every now and again. It's called "Spit digging " back breaking but great for improving soil.f you Google it that would easier to follow than me trying to explain. My late father did it regularly in his veg patch BUT if you want to improve your soil in general around the garden it is worth it. It helps get air into the soil which of course improves plants. Your Foxgloves are coming to an end of the season, hence the yellow leaves. The "season " seems to be early this year.Mine went very leggy and tall to this year, it's like they're clamouring for the light. I've harvested my seeds already,make sure they're very dry before you store them, they are sneaky and hide damp bits. Don't let your nature bit in your front lawn get too established because you'll end up with a lawn of weeds. Watch out for Wild Geraniums or Cranes bill they can spread like wild fire. How do I know, happened to me. You work so hard indoors and out. I'm hoping these tips will help to save you time or at least nudge you in the right direction because Dainty does planning and likes to make sure it's right. I think you are doing brilliantly. Your a lovely inspirational young lady. Many thanks for your wonderful content, always a welcome sight to watch. Take care, keep safe. Lesley-Ann xX

I use Cow and Horse manure. My plants love it. I also buy several bags of Bat guano (poop) each season. Chickens manure is great for those plants that need nitrogen. 5 inches out, rake, and then layer. Cover with dry leaves or straw. It is amazing.
@jo-annebotha96093 жыл бұрын
I really like your garden. Bill Bryson said in one of his books that England basically just wants to be a garden. That's so descriptive and probably twice as true for Ireland where you get even more rain. Why don't you make your own organic compost from veggie peels and grass clippings? We've been making our own compost for years. It reduces the amount of stuff that goes into landfill and saves you buying compost. We even put it on our lawn because we have to feed our lawn here in South Africa.

I love looking at your garden. I used to grow all those "old fashioned" flowers like sweetpea and snap dragons, but I live in Australia and because of climate change you never see them any more. Everything is drought tolerant plants. But this year is raining a lot because of La Nina (it's a weather pattern) and I want to plant them! They look so happy! A lot of people put manure on their gardens here. Another way is to make a manure "tea". Sounds gross but you add the manure to a lot of water and when it's dissolved water on the fertilizer. It's good for doing large areas. Enjoy your garden. Your deserve it. 💖
