When the corporate reps started showing up at our little farm in Ohio in the 70's and 80's pedaling revolutionary new approaches to double and triple grain yields and livestock harvest with super seeds, pest control with on chemical application, etc etc. I remember my father shooing them away and telling me "This is the first step of removing the farmer from the practice of farming."
@Vunderbread4 жыл бұрын
Technocratic Communist agendas aside, and to play devil’s advocate, don’t we in theory want to achieve a future where a farmer’s work is minimized while yield is maximized? I always try to imagine how a super-advanced civilization would do X, then try to meet them halfway. Vision -> innovation.

@@Vunderbread I understand where your coming from and it's a valid premise, for sure. But a thoughtful and well reasoned response from my perspective would take quite a bit of time and text. In manufacturing, for instance, the vision-innovation theory is more easily realized given, typically, less moving parts and absence of biological mediums. Agriculture is subject to so many outlier variables because nature is not functioning on a linear scale ergo disease, weather etc etc. So when you look to the manufacturing model to innovate in agriculture, it's difficult to apply. Sadly, a 'boil the ocean' effect occurs see: GMO's , monocrops, Monsanto and DuPont destruction writ large if you will. This is just a simpleton response.... but ideally your theory is correct. Sadly, ours is a greedy, short sighted system in the USA that runs anathema to responsible farming/Ag practices.

@Mike Ehinger Thank you for questioning this because I don’t understand either. If I had to guess what it is that was happening I would say that those numbers were being ramped up by the schools and other institutions which were “consuming” dairy. Maybe they were just pouring the stuff down the drains to get more subsidies and benefits? Now people are accountable for what they personally consume because the space between us makes it easier to count our separate tabs?
@Northern5tar4 жыл бұрын
Here in Europe farmers had to destroy their crops whilst foodbanks closed down because their was no surplus coming from stores and supermarkets. Many farmers let the people pick up as many as they wanted but it's just a drop in the bucket. Much was still destroyed and people who have to depend on foodbanks rarely have transportation. Locally it did some good but for the millions trapped inside cities? It's quite insane though. Shortages and parents worrying how they going to feed their children and simultaneously crops are being destroyed, milk is being poured into the sewage and meat is being left to rot. You having to self censor to protect your channel, others being taken down for 'thought crimes' is another sign something is terribly wrong. My thoughts for what it's worth. This pandemic is being used to drastically and fundamentally transform our society. It's the shock doctrine. Normally changes take a long time, often generations. During times of deep crisis and trauma however the powers that (shouldn't) be can implement huge changes. Representatives of these powers, in politics, government, media and elsewhere have over the past months consistently hammered home the point there won't be a going back to normal. There will be a "New Normal" to emerge. It's far from the only sign of behind the scenes coordination. Some measures differ per region, others are universal. It's really unprecedented what is happening. Many have been expecting it, though we didn't know in what form it would come. Now we know. It's here. This is their catalyst. All the 'New Order' agenda's are being unrolled and implemented. In stages most likely. Easing a little, then a second wave hits. Maybe a third. And the measures will be ever more cemented and made permanent. The endgame? Control. They have all the wealth they could ever want now they want the control to shape the world and humanity, create a framework for the next thousand years to build and sustain their utopia. For them we're nothing but cattle. They are creating a 'more efficient farm' for us. Free comes from the Norse, Germanic 'Frei' (many different spellings). In it's root Frei means both free and beloved. To love someone and to let them be free were understood to be the same. When you know that almost without exception the New Normal means less individual and collective freedom it gives you a clue about the nature of their motivations. Because they care so much for humanity? The answer is self evident. So we're heading into dark times. Uncharted waters. However everything is cause and effect. They are not above the laws of nature. There will also come new opportunities. And as this all touches on a quite fundamental level, they might well trigger an awakening in many. Not all will look to 'the authority' for answers and truth but rather seek their own. Perseverance will be the keyword for the time being. After that, chances and opportunities. Whatever they throw at us - Die Gedanken sind Frei. Always.

My only whish is that people don't use precious time digging up all kind of conspiracy theories. They only serve more confusion and despair. This is the beginning of the end. If you study The Bible, or history(same thing different perspective), you’ll find out that right before EVERY big empire was destroyed, they were exactly where we are at. This is why we currently have so much in common with Greek and Roman society. It’s a spirit, of AntiChrist, and it’s God’s wrath against a nation. It’s not going to get better, at all, but much worse. They’re trying to bring in the artificial reality, and move all trade online. China is a great example of where we are headed. That’s who’s in charge of the world now. They are not fond of Americans.
