to all people wondering who the hell is oliver Oliver is a vocaloid developed by vocatone and powerFX , launched in 21th of december of 2011. Being voiced by a unknown british choir 13 year old boy,being the first ever 'young boy' vocaloid to be actually voiced by a young boy,he was the first male vocaloid developed for vocaloid3 and the first english one as well,and was vocatone's first vocaloid.Oliver's name etymology comes from the biblical image of the 'Olive Tree' , which is a snynomous to peace or pacific , tho , his original names that were considered were ' Devon' and 'Cody', tho , vocatone's choice for the name of 'Oliver' is unknown . Oliver's design was inspired by the choir boys of britain of the end of the XVIII and start of the XIX century , keeping the similar theme of 'Monster' of their first vocaloids , Oliver was originally planned to have stitches , but due to the designer's choice , they changed it to bandages.According to the team , the cause of the bandages are up for fan interpretation , and it deosn't bother his singing , tho ,while removing the original frankestein like features , the team still considers Oliver as ' Non-human'. Oliver's marketing at first concerned vocatone , as they didn't want to make the charather 'Too cute' but still succeful , for their luck , Oliver was very popular in Otaku and Vocaloid foruns , getting tons of fanart of Pixiv in just a few days of annoucement , and selling more than 20.000 samples of his voicebank . Oliver has a pet canarian which he seems to carry around , he seems to have the ability to talk with the said canarian , who seems to serve as a personal company and councelor for the charather, while not official , vocatone and fans named the bird as 'James'. Oliver has both a Twitter and Facebook , controlled by vocatone , he mostly posts about songs that uses his voicebank , merch , or comics made by vocatone about oliver.Alot of fans mistake Oliver as the first english vocaloid , but , he is the 31th vocaloid , and is the first english vocaloid created after hatsune's miku social media account creation. Steampianist is currently the producer who most used Oliver, and oliver's most listened song on youtube is 'Amygalas Rag Doll' by Ghost. Oliver started to gain popularity through voicing the character 'Puppycat' in the web series 'Bea and the Puppycat', that reached 1.000.000 views in both part 1 and part 2 , being the first videos ever featuring Oliver's voice to have 1 million views, Oliver's demo song 'Dinky dink' became the first English only vocaloid demo to gain 100.000.He is also the most popular english only vocaloid in Japan and overseas , Oliver had other 2 (Besides dinky dink) song demos, 'Circus monster' and 'Scarborough fair', that reached 30.000 views, this was never seen to other prior english vocaloids i waited for this moment my entire life
