As someone who just recently got a cochlear implant, this conversation really resonated with me. Thanks for asking such thoughtful questions.

I think it is so lovely and kind when someone with a specific experience take the time to give flowers to ppl that try to speak on that subject in a respecful and good way.

Great interview. The only thing I find frustrating is how much the word 'like' is used. I know this generation have grown up doing that, but it is so frustrating to listen to when every 3rd word is 'like'. Not that it will stop me from watching, as I love your podcast - just a little food for thought :)

When people are being vulnerable or under pressure they are more likely to use words such as “like” as subordinating conjunctions or as a discourse particle to bridge thoughts ❤ it’s very normal thing to do when free speaking vs giving a formal speech. But I understand like standing out to you - each generation has different discourse particles they lean into - for example, In the 70s/80s a couple common ones used was “yeah” and “you know”

I watched the show and could not believe how many times several of the women said “like”. It’s distracting but it’s so common for that age.

I can't believe how profoundly rude you are! What is it really truly, what is it to you? If you have nothing to say nice don't say anything at all!!

First time seeing this podcast. It's odd seeing Taylor Lautner who've I always known as an actor in Twlight and who dated Taylor Swift. It's surprising to see this shift...
