It looks like daiwa has finally updated the pinion gear with double bearing support. Lews already did this with their $100 entry level reel. I've stopped recommending tatula reels due to the lack of double bearing pinion support.

I wish I could make it in a 500 tw series left-handed reel with high ratio 8.1.1

I bought the lexa bc I couldn’t stand the tattula T-wing long guide as on mine the line doesn’t always go center so it rides on top on one side or the other

I have daiwa lexa wnn 300 its great but in my openion instead of puting a breaking system much better clicker system for 400 unit because only tentioner is enough to control the cast

What the difference between the Daiwa Prorex 400 TW and daiwa lexa 400 TW
@yellowsailfishCustom2 жыл бұрын
does it have a drag clicker by a chance?
@calebrabion2 жыл бұрын
What rod is that being used in the video, or what rods do you recommend?
@denofearthundertheeverlast5138Ай бұрын
To bad it doesn't have a bait clicker alert, that would really be cool, not only can I cast lures all day, I can be lazy and cast in the surf and sit back and sip on a beer waiting to hear that that clicker go off. IMO every reel should have one.

Is the 300 smaller then the 400 prorex? Just looking for a size comparison before I order new reel. I love my prorex just not sure how different this is?

Very nice! I have always been a Penn person but would not mind giving this one a try.
@fadelover1233 жыл бұрын
Way better than those Penn baitcasters. I opened up the new tw and it's pretty much a super beefed up Shimano tranx with twice the support and way better bearings

@@JohnSmith-hg6qy the lexa tw. The penns are fancy looking abu guarcia revo toros with an extra bearing. Look at the schematics.

Daiwa needs a 500 series to compete with shimano.....shimano is just dominating you guys with 50lb capabilities and line capacity.

I Have the tatula 300.... (my first daiwa) the tws is a gimmick imo. The amount of times I have back lashed from time to time.... to me the tws looks n feels flimsy (wobbles) feels like it will snap 1 day.... my abu zeta reel is just as smooth if not smoother. The slx dc as well....
@fadelover1232 жыл бұрын
Im sick of people saying the tws looks flimsy, its supposed to be a little lose to snap in and out. It will not break unless you delebeleratly try to break it. Ive caught 100+lb rays on my lexa 400tw with 15lbs of drag, 500 yards worth of runs didnt break it and its caught tons more fish. Also backlashing is completely your fault, the tw reels outcast my shimano and okuma counterparts by FAR and the cast control is better than my tranxs.

How does it compare to the lexa 400 hd in strength
@lukediepfishing2 жыл бұрын
It has higher drag specs and is much more reinforced. IMO it casts sooo much better too. Dunno if it's worth the price, your choice.
