The Daiwa 2020 Saltiga SALTIGA20000H Spinning Reel is just a crazy reel. It is absolutely crazy. This is the first redesign Daiwa has done since 2015 and the new Saltiga is loaded with the latest technology making it an incredible piece of hardware that you should add to your arsenal! Daiwa changed the body to their monocoque design increasing the gear by 12% in height as well as making it thicker. This makes the gear in the 2020 monocoque twice as powerful as the previous version. The rotor got an upgrade and became more rigid, reducing any flex. The ATD drag system puts out 66 lbs of drag at max while being twice as durable as the 15 Saltiga. You read that right. 66 lbs of drag!!! Hi, Do you know why certain countries have different saltiga 2020 platform? For instance, the saltiga 2020 selling in South East Asia or Australia/New Zealand do not have black plate and unique serial numbers on them just and silver plate indicate the model and "made in Japan" and different aestheticsuch as no gold essence ring around the handle ( just like the one you holding)? But in the US or Japan have black plate with the serial numbers and different asethetic like the gold essence on the handle.

Depends what size reel you need but Avet MXL G2 5.8 MC.

Read Alan hawks reviews, he has one on the 19 Stella and 20 Saltiga, and just a heads up, he thinks the Stella is ok but not acceptable for the money, the Saltiga however, he thinks is not only the best spinning reel ever made, but better than he ever even though possible.
