Earlier I did a video tour of Campobello but it was in winter and I have finally got around to doing a summer version. It was a windy day and that always raises havoc with my little camcorder so I will apologize right off the bat for the poor sound track. I did do voice overs for the worst of it but there is still some wind noise. This was recorded on a beautiful hot August day but the fog was on it's way in so it was a race to get out ahead of the fog.

about 4 years ago I visited Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Bay of Fundy and many more beautiful areas. Very green, beautiful weather (my visit was in June), friendly locals and tasty food. Thank you for showing your wonderful area, I wish to visit again soon,

Thank you for that wonderful tour. I love Canada and have been to the West, Rockies and Vancouver Island many times. Canada has a unique landscape and there's a wonderful sense of relaxation about it in the sense that Canadians know they don't need to do anything other than just let you see where they live and they let the images speak for themselves. I am really glad I can't sleep tonight because I got to see this.

Thanks so much for this and several other video's I've enjoyed. My husband and I are coming to Campobello next week to look and see if we will be a good fit for the island. It will be a dream come true for us, if all falls into place. We were there in 09' but we have seen more on your video's than we did when we were there! So, thanks again.

Thank you. Accessibility could be a problem. Government buildings like postoffice, tourist information centre, customs building are all accessible and the main attraction the Roosevelt International Park is mostly accessible the reception centre with exhibits, movie theatre and washrooms are all accessible. You can access the ground floor of the Cottage but there isn't an elevator to the second floor. Motels, restaurants could be a problem too they are all single story but not really accessible.

When I lived in Nova Scotia I used to go clam digging a lot. And I was told that you could dig clams any month that doesn't have an "R" in the name. Which made sence to me anyways because the mont's with "R"s in them are a little to cold .

So pretty! Loved the tour, Dale, what a great idea. Shame about the salmon farms! They are an ecological nightmare as well as a culinary horror story and like Scotland and Ireland you have such beautiful crystal-clear waters and a wild salmon population at risk. Thanks for posting this, really enjoyed the visit.

It's the other way around it is usually safe to dig clams in any month that has an R because those are the colder months. The warm weather causes Red Tide to bloom which is a paralytic shellfish toxin this is a naturally occurring toxin not something caused by pollution etc. The flats are either closed or open in a more scientific way now, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans do regular tests of the clams and say when it is safe to dig.

( Maine) Can you get into another part of Canada from the island or can you just get into Maine from the island?
