Man, Big E was a beast! In all phases of the game, offense, defense, special teams, the Cowboys of the 90s were almost superhuman. No team in football before or after was so fun to watch.

As great as Reggie White was, it was well known that Erick Williams pretty much had his way with him, until he injured his knee in a car accident in 1994. He was never the same, after that, but he was still good.

+MK Dallas Erick Williams was the best tackle in the NFL before that car accident. Larry Allen replaced Williams that first year, then moved to guard and became the most dominate guard in the NFL.

Players that played against Big E before and after his accident including Reggie White have said that what Big E lost in physical ability he made up for by playing meaner and more physical than before and that they would rather he didn't have that accident because if you didn't want to play against him before you sure didn't want to play against him after

Jimmy Johnson. One of my idols from a coaching standpoint. There is no o line without jimmy johnson. The best evaluator of talent. Better than Parcells, belechek, and bill walsh. And those dudes were fuckin for real. Drafted erik williams. Central state.

Y'all remember having that feeling when the Cowboys had the ball that they were always going to score.? Those were some very good days. I was in the military and got to watch them kick everybody's butt with Marines from all over the country. I had bragging rights. One of the best times of my life

I wish Jason Garrett would be watching this......a lot. The Cowboys O-line should all be a minimum of 6'6 and 330 lbs. I'd go to the Strong Man competitions and get a couple of those guys for Offensive tackles. They'd be perfect.

Hi I'm from Mexico, I'm not a cowboys fan but Mark Stepnoski's super fan! But I've got a trouble here, on 10:49 Daryl Johnston says about Stepnoski: " he was given up 50 to 75 pounds on a weekly basis" did I get it right? What does that mean???
@cjtexas9646
@cjtexas9646 8 жыл бұрын
+HildaT almost all the players he was opposing on game day were 50 to 70 pounds heavier. He got by with his excellent technique and smarts...that was truly a great group...
@HildaT

+cj texas I'm a big football fan, offensive line men are my favourites, I admire their underrated job and I also like big guys, although you don't see too many of them here; I don't remember too much of Stepnoski because I was just a little girl so I've been trying to find footage of him here in KZbin and I've learned, like you said, he's 6'2;so the meaning of that phrase is that he had to find The way to manage bigger guys, em I right? Sorry it's just that I'm not good with phrasal verbs :(
@cjtexas9646
@cjtexas9646 8 жыл бұрын
your verbs are fine and you are correct. He was small for an offense lineman and had to depend on quickness and leverage to get by. sorry you were you young to really appreciate them when they were good. what got you interested in this?
@HildaT
@HildaT 8 жыл бұрын
+cj texas thanks; I love football, I guess I'm not a normal mexican 'cause I don't like soccer, I like it because my dad played as a defensive end and two of my older brothers also played, one as a wide receiver and the other as a quarterback but that was years ago, another brother (who for a couple of years also tried as a defensive end) and I are always talking about football and watching the entirely season.

How is there not a documentary about Erik Williams vs Reggie White a Rocky story where he was even born in Phili and idiolized Reggie White and then went to completely shutting him down and making Reggie White the Minister of Defence want to fight Erik Williams.

Had they not lived such a party lifestyle the Cowboys would have won a couple more SB's or at least been more competitive beyond 95' their last SB team because the late 90's Dallas teams were not that good so...The Patriots since 01' are to me the greatest dynasty in NFL History.
@epm5433
@epm5433 7 жыл бұрын
Indeed. Too many of the key players on that team were a reflection of the self-indulgent, inebriate owner. After beating Buffalo for their second SB, Dallas was still the youngest team in the NFL. And within three years their dynasty was squandered.

Correct as soon as Jimmy Johnson left the team started declining due to lack of discipline They did win that last one two years after that was because of a combination of allot of talent still on the team and the other teams they went against were not as good as what they went against the year before like the 49'rs. Aikman said it correctly that they could have gone 5 in a row if Jimmy Johnson didnt leave. Jones wanting to take control more of the team instead of just being the owner is what made it collapse and also is what made Jimmy Johnson leave. The Patriots owner has not made that mistake with belichick, and belichick is still the coach and GM for that team. Reason why Patriots have been so dominate for so long and the cowboys were not.
