True the bedroom’s at Southfork did get much larger by the mid 80s . Bigger onsuite bathrooms , massive walk-in Closets. Etc . Compared to the smaller bedrooms of 1978-1983.

It's amazing how HUGE Southfork became inside after those early years. In the late 70's the bedrooms could barely fit a double bed and dresser in it. 🤣

I've been to the real Southfork and it is not anywhere near the size as shown on television. In fact, there is only one bedroom upstairs and four downstairs with no long hallway at all upstairs. It's rather small.

They took each other When Bobby started making moves on Pam, did she tell him to break it off with Jenna first?...... nope, she took him right to bed, so her fault was had. She did what us fellas call "pulling a robbery", and while I'm not a huge fan of Jenna or Charlie, their hard feelings toward Pam were justified.

Ray not understanding why Bobby and Pam wouldn’t want Jenna living so close to them is baloney. Ray waited and was just getting even with Bobby and Pam because Pam dumped him for Bobby. Jenna is a drama queen. Bobby doesn’t want her. So, she wants nothing to do with him or the Ewings. But wait, she takes up with his brother and lives next door to Southfork.

@@Vydio Bobby’s problem with Jenna was that she was trying to deny him the right to take part in his child’s life because he dumped her for Pam. By allowing Jenna to live so close to Southfork, Ray was facilitating Jenna’s efforts to make Bobby and Pam’s lives as difficult as possible. Ray only befriended Jenna because he was upset Donna took his child away. Ray and Bobby were supposedly close brothers. Ray knew the trouble he was causing by allowing Jenna to live on Southfork land. He didn’t care because he let his own pain cloud his judgement. Pam and Bobby didn’t believe the world revolved around them. Their problem was they were never left alone to live their own lives. Most of Bobby and Pam’s problems were caused by outside interference. If it weren’t for the meddling, they would never have gotten divorced.

@@Vydio The courts disagree with you on this one. You can’t deny a person their rights to participate in their child’s life because they don’t want you. Bobby can marry anyone he feels like. Jenna can live her life. She just can’t exclude Bobby from their child’s life. Yes, Jock gave Ray a section of land on Southfork. Bobby most likely can stay away from Ray’s place. Now that Ray is a Ewing, he doesn’t seem to be able to stay away from the main house, where Bobby and Pam live. Therefore, he and Bobby are going to continue to have conflicts. What makes Bobby and Pam spoiled? Is it the fact that they were deeply and passionately in love with each other, and they openly expressed their love for each other, which made people jealous of their relationship? As for Jenna, she always knew Bobby loved Pam. She also knew he loved children. Charlie was the only reason he was going to marry her. Perhaps she should have been more careful if she didn’t want Bobby in her life.

As for the courts, Bobby would actually have to get off his self-righteous behind to go to a court to get those rights you are crowing about, which we all know was never going to happen. The man was too busy dealing with all the other things that really mattered to him. Perhaps that's why Jenna didn't want him around Lucas .... he'd do to him what he did to Charlie. We wouldn't want Jenna to make that mistake again now would we? Oh BTW, folks who think their money can buy anything and everything tend to be spoiled. Bobby was out of line, if Jena wanted to hook up with Ray that's her choice and was nothing to do with Bobby. Ray was lucky Bobby didn't choose throw hands with him. Bobby bashes JR all the time (part of that maybe that JR loved Bobby and couldn't bring himself to physical hurt Bobby) but when JR and Ray had a fight Ray lost fair and square so it stands to reason that Bobby would have creamed him.

I don’t ever recall a time where JR and Ray fought where Ray didn’t always just knock JR around. In fact, JR usually got whooped by most dudes on Dallas. He didn’t seem like he wanted to get physical a lot of times.

@@jrcrit8843 JR and Ray had a big dust up at Southfork when Ray blamed JR for his nephew's death. JR knocked Ray out using a telephone receiver all the while Southfork was on fire. JR also managed to come out ontop in fight with one of Sue Ellen's latter boyfriend (survived might be more accurate) when her boyfriend fell off the balcony. He walloped Cliff a few times but yeah generally he preferred to stay at the back when a fight broke out but when cornered he would throw down.

It really was huge in its day I’m from the uk and I still remember my best friend and I leaving a youth club disco early one night and running the entire way home so we wouldn’t miss any of it😁 I think it was the night they were going to reveal who shot J.R. You’re absolutely right though some of the acting in it was atrocious🙈😂 Especially in the later seasons when the storylines had also became ridiculous, just the same way that most of the American soaps of that time ended up going but when it started in the 1970’s most people absolutely loved it. I can remember my mum loving the outfits that the actresses wore and I think it was a bit of escapism as well. I recently watched it again and even though it’s obviously dated I still enjoyed the early seasons but couldn’t make it past season 9 for reasons most people who saw it will understand I don’t mind suspending reality for a film or tv…but that was just a step too far even for me 🛌😴💭

Let me tell you, Bobby was no “wussy”. He nearly beat a man to death - stomped the poor bastard in the throat and the stood there and watched him die. And if the paramedics hadn’t revived the guy he *would* have died. Also there was an episode where that ranch hand cracked a Louisville slugger over Bobby’s head. It didn’t even phase him, it just made Bobby angrier.
