Glass ampules are used for dangerous substances so be VERY careful with them. The liquid could be toxic or corrosive or maybe even both.
@PippiFarm-w3s14 күн бұрын
Thanks for the warning! I’ll definitely be super careful with those glass ampules. But honestly... right when he released the fish, I couldn’t help but think about something else. That moment hit me hard. It made me realize, not only do I respect him, but damn, lol, I fell for him right then and there! 😅 The way he confidently released that fish into the water, 0:56 the calmness and strength-it just did something to my heart. I couldn’t help it. He’s not just handling the situation, he’s the person I want to be around. Who knew that something so simple could make me fall for him so fast? Sometimes love sneaks up on you in the most unexpected ways!

12:31 What makes you think that's water inside those ampules? It could be carbon tetrachloride or any other colorless chemical harmful or benign. Carbon tetrachloride used to be sealed in glass ampules to be used as a fire extinguishing agent. But it is really nasty stuff, readily absorbed through the skin, and a carcinogen. I would advise you to find out more about those and refrain from breaking them.

@kevinevans5351Ай бұрын
Yeah, like others have commented those vial may likely contain poisonous, caustic, highly reactive chemicals. As a suggestion, i would look up your local college/university and speak to whoever is in charge of the chemestry departments. See if they can identify it and update us in a video short or make a long video of them going through the process. Sometimes those chemicals will instantly boil off and become gaseous once the vial is cracked. It would be very interesting to see what they have to say. Otherwise i would hit up the local hazmat disposal site and drop them off if they will permit it. Under no circumstances would I open them. Glad to see a new video Jake! Hope you are doing well!

The sealed glass bottles are chemical (most likely) and they are sealed for a reason as they tend to be quite dangerous. I would throw it away by letting a company dealing with "chemicals" handle it :P. However, whatever you do, do NOT break the bottles. Best to wrap it in protective soft stuff to prevent it from actually breaking

Jake, I've been a Master Captain on large vessels in the oil field for 45 years. I want to thank you AND your buddies for wearing a flotation device EVERY time you get in the water or on a boat. I've retrieved too many bodies from guys that would be here after an accident and wound up in the water, some couldn't swim and others could swim but were injured too much to be able to swim. I wear an auto inflate at work or when on any boat, but I looked up the HYDE product and will purchase one for when I'm scuba diving or just playing in the water. Thank you guys for being SAFE! I also carry one in my truck due to living around water all my life, and if someone winds up in a bayou, I have a work vest and my inflatable in case someone drives off a bridge or winds up in the bayous. I've retrieved bodies of guys who jumped off a foreign ship in the Mississippi south of New Orleans, they just wanted to live in America, and if they just had a flotation device their dream just might have happened. Stay safe!

I only just recently saw a video talking about how sealed glass vials like that are used to contain certain highly toxic chemicals for laboratory use or are sometimes kept in science classrooms for educational purposes. If those are still sealed, there is something in there that is very dangerous. Definitely find someone equipped to handle toxic materials. I wish I could remember exactly what video it was I saw about it.

There's no way that the liquid in those vials is safe. Definitely take the suggestion to a lab or university for study. That looks seriously dangerous.

Those two glass cylinders are called ampules and they are used to store chemicals, sometimes very dangerous chemicals that kind that will kill you, do not open them. I dont know of the proper channels to go through to dispose of them safely, the content may look like water but its probably not unless they are broken.

Regarding those glass tubes: They used to make these fire extinguisher bulbs like that kind of. I’ve never seen them in that shape, but basically a glass ball full of chemicals that would extinguish a small fire. Not the type of chemicals you want to get on you or breath. I could be wrong about it. But either way I doubt it’s water if it’s sealed shut.
@MattLukassАй бұрын
he would be lucky if thats all they were, chemicals that react violently to moisture are sometimes transported like that

Those sealed glass vials (ampoules) could be anything. Usually you only store chemicals in ampoules like that when they are very volatile, toxic, reactive, or a combination thereof. Be careful if you decide to open one, it may not be water (perhaps deuterated water, but ampoules of that usually come in sizes of 1-2 mL, those look like >10 mL).

Man, i'm following your videos as i found the one with mortar shells some months ago. Interesting treasures. at 12:30 you mentioned those weird cylinders of glass full of water. I saw something similar when little so i'm unsure if good or not. They were hanged in the study of my paternal uncle, a physicist. sealed glass tubes were filled with liquid gas. it was a measurement tool display, tubes were sealed for good, but dunno what type. I strongly suggest to not break those pieces. if you want to know what's inside (i doubt it's water), take them to a lab. If not, dispose of them. Thanks for your videos, keep it up 👍

I have to say I'm impressed. You didn't call it a "clip", you said "it doesn't have a magazine", which is the proper terminology. Great job! Sccy pistol's are an inexpensive handgun. Cheap is probably a better term. I used to work for a Gun shop. We would refer to Sccy pistols as "Sissy" pistols. Because we weren't sure how it was pronounced, (It's actually pronounced "Sky") and because we didn't like them. My bet is the owner just got sick of it jamming. So they throw it in the river, and bought something reliable. 😂
