The funny thing is that cutting a bit of timing by programming the height sensor would probably only be about as detrimental to overall speed as the amount of weight this thing will require to stay down. 100 lbs is a 1/10th of a second. im willing the bet he could keep that 100 lbs off and only losing about .075 seconds from timing cut in first. not only that but it will be more predictable, consistently safer on ALL track surfaces and DAs, and keep the car from completely destroying itself the next time it wheelies with 70-100 lbs MORE on the front end. OR just set up a boost by gear setting. A Haltech would be alot cheaper than the damage that is bound to occur in the very near future.

Before you go crazy messing with (or worrying about) the camber- CHECK THE SETBACK (the distance the front wheels are forward/ aft of one another) and CASTER. The strut rod (locates the lower control arm forward/backwards) pivot point made direct contact with the track, so it is probably tweaked pretty good. By checking the caster and setback, you can know how much and where to straighten it out- and the camber situation will likely either be rectified with the repairs, or dramatically improved. Im going to bet that the caster will show a pretty significant change as compared to the pre-moonshot pass alignment. Get it back over to that shop, and have them hang the heads and measure what you have now, compared to it before, and the bent parts will become pretty obvious.

I've only been to a body shop once with a car that was in a Collision. it was a friend. they didn't charge too much for basic work. It wasn't a complete job. I had new fenders to bolt on. Just pull out the front and get rid of whatever damage there is to the frame. this is minor from a body shops perspective. They have tools and measurements and they know where things should be. I'd suggest having a body shop look at it and maybe pull it because there won't be much to pull and then get new strut Tower supports because those are probably bent and you don't realize it. All in all not super expensive you can probably put the same fenders back on and call it a day. It would give you some personal peace of mind to know everything's right. alignment can be important going down the strip.

@@24kNick It’s also not illegal to keep the stock engine. Mine is 30yo and it’s been making twice the stock horsepower for half that time on an unopened longblock and a bigger turbo. I performed a compression test on it in August and it still has 96% compression across all four holes within 1% of each other. It’s really a very impressive engine. Nathan’s is still on a built and stroked engine and he holds the record. (Sorry man, I get weird about swapping Honda engines into Toyota sportscars. I’ll get off my soapbox now).

@@negativeindustrial you would hate the car on my channel then haha, 4g63 Toyota starlet . The 3s is a great platform but they just wanted to use a engine they were familiar with , as the case with our car .

@@24kNick On your channel? The want to check that shit out. I bet she’s a beast! What year is that 4G and how much is she putting down? FWD? I don’t feel quite the same way about a 4G63T Starlet as I do a Honda engined MR2. For one, because it’s not a Honda engine. And two, because, unlike the MKII MR2, the Starlet, even in its hottest versions, it didn’t get a legendary engine like the 3S-GTE. I know the turbo engine on a Starlet is pretty great but it can’t even remotely compare to the 4G63t. (plus I feel a certain kinship with you 4G guys because people forget about how badass your engine is, too.)

Fab up a weight that slides into the frame rails. Could also adjust it to even out the weight between each side.

Plot twist, James just wanted to take out the other 8 second competition, so makes them wheelie to death.

@92VXEG Bro it is a joke, and James's car isn't a quart mile car either lol.

Try to loosen the bolts on the bottom of strut and pull the top of the wheel and retighten bolts. Usually you can get some adjustment out of them

Could you fish plate it or tie it in to your roll cage to give the front part of the structure to help it can handle a impact like that. Surely it csn be straightened back out

Why is there no vacuum on the FPR? Likely why your leaning out on boost.
