Rules error. When Brago flickered himself and the aura he couldn't have the aura enter back on Brago This is because they enter at the same time and for an aura to attach to something that permanent must already be on the field. Otherwise, great video as always.

I get the getting taken part, but that's more of a fringe scenario compared to the krosan grip he is playing around. If they get wrathed he just makes more, so I don't see why that should be a problem.

This is why my go to wincon in Damia is getting Deadeye Navigator out along with Peregrine Drake, making infinite mana, then using that mana to tutor up Rune-Scarred Demon, pairing that and using rune-scarred to find Blue Sun's Zenith and drawing one opponent out of the game, then flickering rune-scarred to find zenith again and repeat ad infinitum. If they try to respond I can blink at instant speed, find whatever answer I need and cast it, then carry on. You know your combo is resilient when the stack trying to stop you is 17 cards deep and you're STILL gonna win 😅🤣😉😎😋

I am so glad Bryan won this game, I love those two planeswalkers. The 7,000 squirrels combo with Damia was fantastic as well, and honestly I'm really not the biggest fan of Arcades. He is definitely the best wall commander, but wall tribal isn't as aggressive as I enjoy playing and from the decks I've played against as long as Arcades is out of the game the rest of the deck tends to flop pretty hard.

As a cEDH player, Alex upsets me. He is playing a cEDH deck against non-cEDH decks. Alex, and people like him, are why we get a bad name. When you set down at a table of strangers, the first question that should be asked is how comepetitive are we playing? These guys are running their win on turn 9 or later decks and Alex is trying to win on turn 4. Discuss power levels before playing. If Bryan didn't have the exact cards he needed it would have been an utter blowout.

cEDH is not just tier 1 decks. It's about building the most competitive version of a deck with the intent of winning as fast and most consistently as possible. That was a very refined Damia list he was running and not something you bring to a casual table.. He's pub stomping. He's bringing a rocket launcher to a knife fight. He lost, yes, but that was the most rare of circumstances that he lost. The other nine times, he's winning.

The Command Zone had a great episode recently where they talked about five levels of decks: jank (1-2), casual (3-4), tuned (5-6), optimized (7-8), and competitive/cedh (9-10). They said, and I tend to agree, that decks can comfortably play one tier "up" or "down," but not two. I'd call the Damia deck "optimized," the Brago and Izzet decks "tuned," and the walls deck "casual." The issue here is the big disparity in power level between the Damia deck and the walls deck, not the Damia deck's power level in absolute terms. I mean, are we forgetting the Izzet deck's turn 1 Sol Ring into Grim Monolith into Commander's Sphere? And anyways it's hard to always find a perfectly even playing field in a four player pod. Maybe the Damia player didn't bring a weaker deck. Maybe the walls guy didn't bring any stronger decks. Sure, in a perfect world everybody would bring five different decks of varying power level to the store, and proceed to have a five minute conversation before shuffling up in which they describe their deck's intended route to victory, budget, play style, and so forth, and then try to reach a quorum on which deck to play, but that's unrealistic.

commodified Damia is not “optimized” but a 9 competitive. Look at the list! In this game we only saw the weakest part of his deck.

Plain I'd say lvl 8 optimized. While his deck is indeed powerful, it isn't cEDH level just yet, The commander isn't the powerlevel needed. There are better, faster Sultai lists out there. Its still pretty powerful and not something I would personally bring to a table unless I'm certain that the players are all on the same lvl. Or at least close enough.

I always though that when you blink things with Brago, everything comes back together. If so, an aura shouldn't be able to enchant a creature that is not yet on the board, because they where blinked together, or a clone couldn"t copy a permanent that was blinked alongside it. Am I wrong ?

1) I prefer Brago in my Roon of the Hidden Realm deck more than as the commander of his own deck. 2) If you are not ready to swing with your infinite token army, then do no make an infinite token army. 3) It is always a good idea to have a few "Oops, I guess I win" cards like Exsanguinate, or Reins of Power if they exist in your colors.

Great game!!! Nevertheless, I always wonder when someone goes land into Sol Ring into Monolith and uses it right away... Sure, Bryan was able to play Lantern , but that lost him 2 mana on turn two...Since he won in the end - and with a nice move at that - it doesn't make any difference at all, but still... getting down your 6 mana Commander on turn two seems a lot better imo :-/ especially since Will's ultimate could have been reached rather easily that way and is bonkers as hell!

Hum... @5:50 you can't blink Brago if you want to enchant it with the aura that is also is being blinked. You can only re attach auras on targets already in play as it's reentering.

Even if I don't get to swap my empty board for my opponents on my turn and kill them, I often use it when attacked, take their board, and do something dastardly like sacrifice it to Razaketh or Attrition to kill off someone else's problem creatures while putting counters on my Black Market XD

Earthcraft allows you to tap an untapped creature to untap a tapped land. So you then tap the land to make a token, tap the token to untap the land, and repeat. It's a well-known combo, but you seriously shouldn't do it unless you're ready that same turn to swing for the win because a single life into a Toxic Deluge can wipe your field.

Fred would annoy me so much by being overly touchy with my cards. When dealing with other people's cards, I try to avoid touching them directly as much as possible. (I'll use the corner of cards to point at something, and if it's an aura attaching to something I don't own, I'll set the offending card adjacent to my target.) Other than that, this was an interesting game.

Earthcraft, he taps the forest enchanted with squirrels nest and makes a squirrel then he taps that squirrel he just made via earthcraft to untap the forest enchanted with squirrels nest and does it again 6999 times! Its a pretty silly good and easy combo for infinite critters.
