Ayton is more valuable to the blazers then herro is, and Miami never tanks so any picks they would get from Miami are low lottery at best. To get an expiring contract in jrue on top of it makes it just an all around better deal then what Miami had. Its a shame because I love Jimmy Butler but this move just wasn't in the cards.

I wasn't a fan of the Bucks for a long time. Now, I look at them as one of the great teams that has been around for a while. It is hard to maintain success without making changes to the team in the NBA, however it's been Giannis/Middleton/Lopez/Caunoughton(oops) and gang since before I graduated high school and now I would have graduated college. They scariest part is that Giannis and Dame, 2 hyper driven and competitive guys, are going to be the most motivated dudes in the league. Giannis was just embarrassed in the 1st round and is publicly still pissed about it. Dame has made the playoffs every year of his career except the last 2 where his team made him sit out against his will to tank and he has to prove to himself that leaving his home team after 11 years was the right decision.

I don't think the bucks depth is as bad as you say. Although I agree with all your other points, they definitely have 6 solid guys and 3 more that absolutely could be starter level players if things go ok for them . 6 being Dame, Giannis, Middleton, Lopez, Portis and Connaughton and then Crowder, Beauchamp, Beasley as the 3. you'd think that 2 of those 3 will prove useful in the playoffs and then suddenly you're at 8 rotation good rotation players and that is starting to be enough. Losing Allen is unfortunate though.

Milwaukee native here. I think we're going to regret this move but it should be a lot of fun. You have to guard dame 30 ft out leaving Giannis to roam. I'm not sure how defenses are supposed to deal with that. We also really need some clutchness at the end of games. Maybe we cannot get dame to play a little defense but I'm not holding my breath. Allen only played as many minutes because of injuries so if Kris and the team stay healthy , it makes it less of an issue. Also I still do not know why Jay didn't play more last year and there is hope that he just wasn't given a chance and he can be productive again , at his best he is a great bench , fringe starter player. I like having Robin back on the team as well , he is at his best when on the same team with Brook and will at least come in and try hard. But yes overall they are missing one solid bench player that can rotate with the backcourt and could really use some veteran to hop on for a discount , it won't happen but one can hope.

He was a rookie on one of the worst teams (and worst-coached teams) in the NBA and he got jerked around all season bouncing back and forth between the G-League and the Rockets when he really should have straight-up had the backup point guard job over Nix. He was well-regarded coming into his draft class and considered a good value where the Rockets got him, and he lit the G-League on fire. Yeah, it's just G-League, and sometimes G-League superstars just never translate, but it's still a positive sign. Not saying he's the answer for Milwaukee fleshing out their bench rotation, but he might be a lot better than he showed.

Khris Middleton was great in the playoffs last year what are you talking about?? He averaged 24/6/6 on 47/41/87 shooting

With that size, best defensive approach may be to close all passing lanes. Or, use Robin at 5, Brooke at 4, Giannis at 3, Kris at 2 and Dame at 1 as a limited experiment to see it could be effective.

Maybe, Holiday had more open 3's from being on the floor with AD and Giannis.

I need the greater nba fan base to apologize to the trailblazers front office, everyone saying “how dare they not trade him instantly to the heat” now look at it paired with a top 3 player in the league on a top contender just like KG with the Celtics.

My lord even you. I would like EVERYONE to remember these takes when they get knocked out 2nd round BECAUSE DAME AINT THAT GUY! Especially in THE PLAYOFFS. Now he has expectations, something he’s never played with before and everyone expects him to just elevate year 1? Not even year 2 dawg! Nuggets are so far beyond every other team it’s kinda disgusting. How did that even happen?? The nuggets??

Nuggets are the favorites but their 2 best players are by far the most below average defenders on their team. It ain’t a stretch that any other contender could beat them

@@GodofDisco I get we like these guys cuz they’re small market heroes and we want them to take down all the superteams but that’s not how it works. The seasons about to start they have zero time to build chemistry necessary for contention. Im really fascinated by this hype! Boy if I’m wrong come back and label me idiot cuz I foresee 2nd round exit at best

It is possible for it to take the team a year to build chemistry, your take that Dame "is not that guy" in the playoffs is laughable and already earned you the idiot label. @@vinsanity3510

I dont know man, they wont hace the defense they need in the perimeter, Kris is not guaranteed to be healthy again at all (same with Dame). The new coach i don't know how is going to do. The Heat and Denver are way more reliable to win because of their chemistry and they are younger.

Honestly, you're actually giving the 2021 Bucks too much credit on offense, regardless of Middleton. I literally can't think of a title winner with a worse offense. Honestly, I can't think of a worse title winner period, they were like a worse version of the 03 Spurs on BOTH ends of the court, and that offense was literally just prime Timmy. Like their 'elite' RS offense literally got exposed, by defenses that weren't even that good, and STILL won a ring, it was unreal. Dame fixes all their problems though, he provides the kind of offense that can't be game planned, which is Giannis' weakness, and that's ASIDE from any synergy. I literally can't think of a more ideal fit, the strengths are too many to count.

You shouldn't be giving up on Jae Crowder so quick. He missed most of the season last year from sitting out and then injury.. give him a full regular season and you'll see Jae Crowder will be a decent playoff rotational piece. Clowning on AJ Green is another mistake. AJ shot 42% from 3pt as a Rookie. He's gonna be a floor spacer and get some of those Grayson Allen regular season minutes.
