I can't see anyone scoring 100, it's just hard to imagine. However, I can see someone surpassing Kobe's 81 soon. It would be amazing, but I personally would hate to see it since he was my favorite player ever & I want that record to stick around forever. With how fast the game is played nowadays, & how rapid players are shooting 3's, it's bound to happen. This is one reason they need to NOT do a target score instead of multiple OT's, which rumors are that they're planning on doing that, instead of having the game go to multiple OT's. If that target score had already existed, Donovan Mitchell might not have gotten his 71. I'm not a fan of Adam Silver as the Commissioner, he's changing up too much of the NBA traditions. Play-in tournaments, Allstar Game, & all these other changes he's thinking about.

In order to score 100, you have to have the following go your way: 1. Rest cause you need the stamina. 2. Lackisdasical defense in that you're not wearing yourself out on the other end 3. You must be hot for the 3-point line making at least 45 points in 3s. 4. Make your free throws 5. Coach and teammates have to recognize the moment early on and substitution patterns have to oblige to give you 44-48 minutes.
@2PunchMid Жыл бұрын

@@2PunchMid the shot attempts are needed IF you're not on fire from 3. Dame said he barely missed 6 3s. Let's say he made 4 of them. He would have had 83 points and surpassed Kobe. There is so little wasted motion in hs shot. This generates so much power and less time spent on the fingertips means less time for the ball to be twisted/roll per se off the hand, changing the axis point at release. fingere basically act as leaf springs with different tensions that can change the way the ball comes off the hand. Id like to see the slow motion differences between Dame, Klay, Steph, even Ray Allen, JJ, Korver, and Reggie Miller. But Dames shot is literally so amazing to watch. Klay could do it too. When he gets in nuclear mode he is unstoppable, especially with Steph on the court pulling defenders away. Klay had 37 in a quarter!

Portland's actually a really nice place to live and the fanbase is diehard. It's amazing to me that no stars want to play with Dame over there

Guys aren't looking to settle down, they want to win, no one thinks they will win in Portland.
@matthewchristopher16 Жыл бұрын
@@coredaqqer6197 no one said settle that doesn't even make sense. If 2 all star type guys went to Portland they'd become a top 5 seed fighting to make it far in the west. I don't get why no one would want to play with Dame the dudes a killer
@coredaqqer6197 Жыл бұрын
@@matthewchristopher16 You said a really nice place to live, majority of nba players are not looking to settle on one team. Not to mention, Portland is a small market team that really can’t attract nor afford 2 more all star players. Not to mention, Dame is one of the highest paid players in the league. Also, Dame has been in portland and i get his value for loyalty but he will be the only reason he doesn’t win a ring, he’s been surrounded with solid rosters in his career they’ve just never won. He should’ve gotten moved a while ago and still should be but Portland isn’t willing to do so.
@matthewchristopher16 Жыл бұрын
@@coredaqqer6197 any player who signs anywhere wants it to be a nice place to live, you're getting way too specific and critical about this lmao point is that team is 2 stars away from competing and they haven't been able to provide. They'd win if they just went simple as that
@coredaqqer6197 Жыл бұрын
@Matt LaJoy Far from true, I'm sure if you ask most players where they'd rather be at any level of basketball, it'd be where they can win or play. I agree that team is a few stars away, but ego really is the worst enemy of the NBA player, lots of guys don't want to take the payout they'd have to to play with dame.

I can honestly see Donovan, DBook and KD scoring 100 pts as well. In this era it's all about how the coach sets it up. Kyrie and Paul George are capable too. It's all about how many different ways a coach can setup these players for offensive success and if they're willing to allow them to slack a bit on the defensive end. PG is probably the only two way player that can get it without slacking on either side in my opinion. It's plenty of guys that can make this happen but Steph, Dame, and Luka are probably the only ones who can do it off of their regular offense plans. This is actually exciting to see tbh. 💯💯

Dame says it's the hardest to score a lot when defenses are completely selling out AND their pride has kicked in to the point where they refuse to let a record be broken on them. That means Wilt's 100 is BY FAR the most legendary, incredible, and difficult sporting achievement in human history. The Knicks were intentionally fouling just so Wilt couldn't get the ball, and yet he still dropped triple digits on them. Wilt even said he could have had 115 or 120 had he really tried to get as much as possible. Wilt is unquestionably the greatest basketball player ever.
