to those who are complaining about the video, in content, quality or both, it's important to understand that the imagery is purposeful and related to the lyrics. the song is about paradox. float like a canonball....life taught me to die.....courage teach me to be shy.....love taught me to lie/cry... the pairings within the lyrics are counterintuitive, as is the imagery in the video. blurry, fairly quick cuts of mundane and/or unpleasant subject materials contrasted against the haunting, clear melody and crisp words.....that so many comment on how 'gross' or 'amateurish' the video seems just means it was effective, at least partially.
