Funfact: The drummer also hated spiders. He was not happy about letting them crawl on him, but he did it for the fans. They put a fake one on his face to prep him for the real ones and he said that was bad enough. If you watch the making of the video, he actually gets kind of short of breath when they first put the spiders on his face. Also the laughing in the background wasn't planned. The drummer would show up drunk to do vocals and would just go crazy. He was supposed to do other vocals but he just started cracking up and they liked it.

The lyrics were written by the former drummer of the band as a message that he felt like he didn't belong here, when he found out that he had an enlarged heart, and was told by doctors that he was't going to live past 30 years old. He secretly wrote a song, now called Fiction, which happened to be a suicide note. He turned it in and took his own life 3 days later in December of 2009 at the age of 28 .
