Met stairs scene - you'll always be famous! BEST SCENE EVER!!!! I remember how pictures of the scene were leaked (I mean it was filmed pretty publicly so it was to be expected) and me and the other dan/blair shippers on tumblr FREAKED OUT! I will forever be bitter about them not being endgame. They are soulmates for me. Blair literally said "it's like he peered into my soul" when talking about Louis' vows that Dan wrote!!! In my mind, Blair finally realizes Chuck is an ass and divorces him, does the whole single parenting thing for a while until she reconnects with Dan and they fall in love again

YES! In my mind they reconnected a few years after the show ended, because Dan and Blair were so good together. They made each other comfortable, and they compromised for each other. Serena just wanted Dan because he used to idolize her. Chuck wanted Blair I feel just because she was a challenge. I was probably 14 when I found Gossip Girl and when I saw Dan and Blair becoming friends and being comfortable with each other I knew they were the endgame that I wanted for the show.

I saw them as a pair of really great friends, Blair said it herself. She could do stuff with Dan that she could never do with Serena. If I’m being honest Dan understood her in a way that Serena or Chuck just couldn’t. Dan taught Blair how to love herself, and how to appreciate herself. And the tiara scene is when I realized oh yeah, they should’ve been endgame.

i was Just thinking about it days ago TT, just started binge streaming gg in netflix all season and all i can say is how heart broken i am that dan and blair didn't ended up together :'( it's like mid moments they tried to pair dan and blair they started to realize how actually loving, healthy and positive this relationship is that it's a threat to the ship that sells for majority audience --> chair, and the producers ended up making a lot of shits just to ruined them 😢 but i guess that's just the type of teen-drama-series genre, where : positive, healthy, and strong relationship = boring = bore/doesn't excite the audience, just like what happened with lily and Rufus that's just so fucked up :( anyway i really love your video and your portrayal of the essay is so funny 😂 dair 4ever ❤

I think once a year I find myself back to watching Dan and Blair ship videos. They were the couple I wanted most from the show, and the fact they didn't have them endgame just because of fanservice annoys me so much. I feel like Dan and Blair didn't like each other because they represented each other's shadow, especially in the earlier seasons, which is why I think they worked so well when they worked but also hated each other extremely when things were bad. I also think because of this they were the only ones who truly saw each other and it is why they were actually equals. Blair could be herself with Dan and Dan himself with Blair. He didn't want to be with the idea of Blair, unlike Serena, but actually her as a person. My theory is they didn't end up together, one because of the whole Chuck and Blair ship but also because I don't think Dan being Gossip Girl would have worked if he ended up with Blair because she would have figured it out before the others. Which would have either had to be another plot point or they would have had to choose someone else as Gossip Girl. I think Serena and Georgina being Gossip Girl at the time Dan and Blair really got together made sense because Blair never suspected him but once he was Gossip Girl again, she would have figured it out.
