Another brilliant performance by Dan. His arrangement of this song made it so unique and fun to watch and hear. He has quite a theatrical flair and this song highlights it. Thanks for a great review and obvious appreciation for Dan. I would love to hear you react to his cover of Lost in Paradise by Evanescence, as well as My Immortal by them also. Love Dan❤ I am 67 years young & I have never listened to any metal music! I liked light rock music. Of course I automatically loved his opera, musical theatre & lighter music! Epic Dan has opened up a new world of other music for me! He really puts his whole heart into his songs, and like you said, the emotion and passion comes thru to the listener and along with his facial expressions, etc., makes his performances all the more an AMAZING experience! His last cover, MY HEART WILL GO ON was like a wild ride!!!! And, then you have a performance like, Nessum Dorma, or Music of the Night which are absolutely beautiful! He can sing anything!!!! I never listened to metal in my youth, but I love Dan’s metal and have followed him since he came across my Instagram account….so glad he did! ❤

great reaction. since i've watched it a million times, i got to watch your reaction, which was fun. you are so observant, but, however you did miss the incredible left eye twitch at about 1:58 in your reaction. it's when he grabs the camera and has pulled it close in. what is my favorite dan vasc song? i always reply "which genre", there are just too many, and can't compare apples to oranges. thanks for bringing it....see you on the next one.

Thank you for another SUPER reaction. I've watched this one over and over and over and over and over again, and I also think it's incredible (or I wouldn't have gone back to watch it again and again and again and again...grin). An interesting thing about the cameos...I've been a Peter Hollens patron from way back in 2015. So have many others. We're called the "Hollens Fam." Starting a few years back, Peter started having some trouble with his voice, and ended up facing a surgery in his throat. As he was healing from that, he re-engineered some of his earlier works, and he also began to work with viewers to have a "school" to train others how to get onto and into KZbin, and make it work for them. On the other hand, he began to have some problems with his voice AGAIN, after the healing was complete, and it turned out that something that had happened during the first surgery had caused that to happen. A lot of us were praying for him and encouraging him, week after week. He ended up having to have a second surgery, and it has taken quite some time for him to reclaim the major parts of his voice that he had lost through all of that. For the last couple of years, he has been facing a lot of thoughts, such as, "Should I just give it all up?" etc. We all have been encouraging him (and still praying for him) to keep going, and that things WOULD get better, and for him NOT to give in to depression and hopelessness. He's beaten it! Though he still faces some doubts now and then, he's really gotten back most of his voice control and then some. Partly, I think this is due to having gone THROUGH the ordeal, and realizing that he can reach out very truthfully and soberly, to others who have done so, as well. He, his wife Evynne, and their two boys are really a tremendous family. All of that said, because after hearing THIS song so many times, one day when Peter was beginning to come through, and feeling more positive, yet still "wondering" a bit about how his career would be able to go on, I mentioned this song to him, and how, during the cameos, MOST people watching the song (or reactions to the song), know firsthand who HE is (and usually they know Jonathan Young, and maybe SKAR), but nearly every single time (I've seen just a couple who didn't), they knew PETER. He's been THE leader of people making their music careers completely from doing videos on KZbin, and he's been such a GREAT encourager to others. We KNOW him, and we LOVE him, and we RECOGNIZE him. Peter was HUGELY glad to hear that, and replied (with tears), that he is very, very thankful to know that. It has helped him get through his own HUGE trials and depression time, to know that what he does is still of value. So...yeah...I'm really glad you mentioned that you recognized him. THANK YOU! 😀

It's because of Dan Vasc's beautiful, versatile, incredibly pleasant voice that people who generally dislike metal enjoy his metal songs. There are plenty of metal bands with great musicians on instruments, but none have a vocalist who even comes close to Dan's voice. Dan has invested a lot in his vocal training to reach this incredible level. His good looks and long hair add to the appeal. Altogether he is a badass of a metal singer.

I just had a quick look on your Dan Vasc playlist and would like to ask you to react to Dans’ version of Nessun Dorma. It shows you a different side of Dan’s voice.
