So can't use the faucet while dishwasher running? And have to plug and unplug the inlet hose every time?
@DanbyProducts Жыл бұрын
Thank you for reaching out to us with your inquiry about the Danby Countertop Dishwasher. We appreciate your interest in our product and would be glad to assist you with your concern. Regarding your question, the faucet cannot be used while the dishwasher is running as it requires a constant supply of water to properly function. You will need to connect the inlet hose to your faucet each time you use the dishwasher and disconnect it after use. However, please refer to page 5 of the user manual we provided cdnns.danby.com/4973611/DDW631WDB_DDW631SDB_EFSOM_20181016.pdf for proper installation instructions and precautions.

I’m confused, where does the dirty water go? How does it drain? Thank you
@DanbyProducts3 күн бұрын
Hi Kellie, Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand your confusion regarding the drainage process for the countertop dishwasher. In these models, the dirty water is expelled through a drain hose, which should be connected to your kitchen sink or a separate drain outlet. This ensures that the used water is effectively removed after each cycle, leaving your dishes clean. I appreciate your interest in our installation video and your willingness to share this information with others. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please reach out to our customer service department at consumerservice@danby.com. We’re here to help and ensure you have a great experience with your dishwasher. - Danby Support Team

These all seem to be made by the same factory in China with different front doors. I have a Danby Countertop dishwasher (DDW631SDB) and the yellow supply connector accepts a dishwasher connector kit. Only need to buy three things from ACE Hardware. (Dishwasher Supply Line #4061180 $25.99, 3/8in Repair Valve #4309399 $14.99, Add A Tee Adapter #4309001 $12.49). Supply 2nd: To use the same supply hose but cut off the end and add an extension. (1/2 in. Barb X 3/8 in. Comp Brass Adapter #4000473 $6.99, 3/8in Stainless Steel Supply Line #4058681 $9.99 , and a Hose Clamp #41143 $2.59). The drain side: You have a few options, pull the bottom of the dishwasher off, pull the gray hose from the drain connector, unscrew and replace connector with (3/4in barb coupling #4568242 $2.79, 3/4in Vinyl Tubing, dishwasher tailpiece #43783 $7.59, Tailpiece Washer #44373 $2.49, and two hose clamps #41143 $2.59). Drain 2nd: You can also size down to 1/2in (1/2in X 3/4in Barb Coupling #4568259 $2.39, 1/2in Braided Vinyl Tubing #4315503 $16.99, Dishwasher Branch Tailpiece w/ 5/8in outlet, Tailpiece Washer #44373 $2.49, and two Hose Clamps #41143 $2.59). Drain 3rd: What I did to use the same connector, cut off the end and add an extension. (1/2 in. Barb X 1/2 in. Barb Galvanized Steel Coupling #41763 $4.99, Cut to measure 1/2in Braided Vinyl Tubing #4027603 $1.79/foot, Dishwasher Branch Tailpiece w/ 5/8in outlet, Tailpiece Washer #44373 $2.49, and two Hose Clamps #41143 $2.59). I made a hole in the stainless steel sink and run the lines down under the sink through a Bulkhead ABS Slip x Slip fitting to make the hole nice.

Hi, I bought it a few days ago. But I have a question about the inlet when I tried to install it. I want to attach the inlet hose to another water entrance(which is shared with my washing machine) rather than the kitchen tap. could you help me to check if it is ok to always keep the water entrance on?The reason why i have this doubt is because in the vedio of your official website , inlet hose is attached to the kitchen tap, and when the washing procedure ends, the kitchen tap is turned off mannually, meaning the water is not always on. Thank you

Thank you for your question about the countertop dishwasher. It's generally recommended to disconnect the water supply when the unit is not in use to conserve water and ensure safety. However, if you prefer convenience, you can leave it connected as long as the hose is securely attached. Thank you for watching the video and sharing this information with others. We bought this Danby countertop dishwasher about two years ago for our small home and we love it! A few things to help people out. -We are 3 people and mostly start the dishwasher 2 or 3 times a day, large dinner plates and even large pans will fit inside. -Once the cycle is over the dishwasher will beep and display END on the small lcd screen, you should open the door and let the dishes dry for about an hour or so, the heat inside the dishwasher will evaporate most of the water and only some of it will be left on back of mugs, glasses and such. -The dishes always come out completely clean and we only use the cheapest dishwasher powder, would not recommend using dishwasher tabs as you should be placing a bit of powder on top of the dishwasher soap dispenser door so there is some already inside the dishwasher when the cleaning cycle starts its first rinse. -You can pause it at any time to open it to add more dishes inside or if you need to use the tap to get water, the hose is quick and easy to release and you can plug it back in and restart the cleaning cycle. The dishwasher will let out a short beep once every few seconds to remind you that it is paused. For the price it is a really good, simple and functional dishwasher, perfect for a small home or apartment, my hands feel much better now that we no longer scrub dishes, thanks Danby!

Mine is leaking at the front, through I think is either air intake or emergency water removal if it goes above a certain level, on the side at front inside the tub, there's small convex parts that stick out and leads to the bottom of the unit... Well mine apparently fills up too much and leaks from that (not through the door itself... literally underneath through that vent pathway)

@DanbyProducts Жыл бұрын
Hello, thank you for watching the video. There is no drying cycle in this appliance. Dishes should be left inside the unit for a short period after a cycle so that the warm air inside the appliance can assist in the drying process. Dishes are normal to be wet at the end of a cycle. If you need help or want to learn more about this device, don't hesitate to contact our customer service department at consumerservice@danby.com and we will be happy to assist you.

How long are the hoses? Does Danby make a hose that is longer if the ones included are not long enough for my space?
@DanbyProducts Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your interest in the Danby Countertop Dishwasher and for reaching out to us with your inquiry. We would be glad to assist you with your concern. Regarding the length of the hoses, the inlet hose and drain hose included with the dishwasher are approximately 4.9 ft and 4.8 ft respectively. We currently do not offer longer hoses for this model, but we recommend ensuring that the dishwasher is installed within close proximity to the sink to avoid any issues with the hoses being too short. If you need help and would like to know more about this device, please contact our consumer service department at consumerservice@danby.com. We will be happy to assist you.

can i place it under the sink cabinet?
@DanbyProducts Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question regarding the placement of your dishwasher. We recommend placing the appliance on a solid, flat counter near the water source. As for placing it under the sink cabinet, I think this may depend on the specific model and the cabinet's dimensions. We recommend that you refer to the owner's manual for instructions on the installation and placement of the unit, which can be found on our website: www.danby.com/product-categories/dishwashers/. However, please note that this is not a built-in dishwasher, so we do not recommend installing it under a sink cabinet. Doing so could result in potential issues with the appliance. If you have any more questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team for help. Thank you for choosing Danby!
