I've been thinking of getting a desktop dishwasher, but due to my ignorance of how they're plumbed in I've yet to get one. Now that I've watched this short video I'm surprised at how simple a process it is to set one up. I rent my flat and I was under the assumption that the pipe work would have to be placed down the back like a regular dishwasher. HOW WRONG I WAS! Thank you, this video has helped a great deal.

I don’t understand, if I connect it to the end of the tap & turn on the water and run the 2 hr program, is the water from my tap going to be running for 2 hours? Isn’t this wasteful/expensive?
@surajjuthi53143 ай бұрын
@@iamsurebabydoll Good question, and thanks for commenting! I think firstly that the machine will use the same amount of water no matter where it is connected, so either the tap or any other part of the water line, so no getting around that I am afraid. The other thing is that usually machines like this just pull in a bit of water and try to use it as well as possible to clean, and then pull in some to clear the dishes off so it is not continuously pulling water. You can kind of hear the water being sucked in a few times and it will try to be as efficient as possible. I hope that answered your questions!
@bradleephilp12592 ай бұрын
No different to how your washing machine would be hooked up. The tap is on during the 2 hour cycle but water isn't continuously flowing. The intensive wash cycle usually goes, pre rinse, main wash, rinse, rinse then dry. It'll only take the water required for each wash/rinse when it's time in the cycle

For safety, you don’t want to burden the thing that is handling the pressure and giving water to the machine when it needs it. The same as with clothes washing machines. To avoid water leaking and huge damage, if something goes wrong. Also never leave any washing machines alone, always stay home when they wash.

Hey, could you clarify this: if i have the inlet adapter connected to the faucet. Turned the little switch on. Do I also need to open the cold water from the normal handle? Thanks
@dopedrums3 жыл бұрын
No you don't, those are two separate inlets. The "normal handle" goes to the sink and the "little switch" goes to a dishwasher of any kind and model. As soon as you turn the "little switch" on you have flowing water from that source. It's better to go the "little switch" route as you'll be able to use your faucet like normal whilst the dishwasher is doing its thing. If you connect your dishwasher directly to your faucet you'll have to wait for your dishwasher to finish before you can access your water which can be irritating if you have to cook food or just want a glass of water.
@giulioambrogi54133 жыл бұрын
@@dopedrums sorry i didn't explain myself well. In my case the little switch sits at a faucet level, not where it is in the video. It's a T connector applied to the faucet.
