I hadn't seen it very closely in the last ep but it was obvious in the recap: Sammy's pointe shoes are ridiculously stiff, and he's not getting over on them properly! I know they probably weren't gonna do loads of him actually dancing in them, but how difficult is it to get him well fitting pointe shoes he can at least get over on.
