I am not sure, if Ann is really helping Hannah with her shyness. For me it seems more, that Ann is the reason for her shyness. ...not because of the bs they show and say in the show about theire relationship, but because of my own ecperiences. I have a very supportive mother too and I think, her lovely and overly supportive behaviour caused my shyness (as a child), or at least it was one reason besides a few others for my shyness. Has someone made equal ecperiences?

But I agree sometimes I think In her attempts to make her child comfortable with her and not seem like a mother who doesn’t care, or understand their daughters shyness (my mom) sometimes I think Ann doesn’t push Hannah ENOUGH. Your mom was super supportive so you relate but I relate cause my mother didn’t understand so I always felt like I was on my own and I think that’s what Ann and your mom are trying to avoid🤷🏼‍♀️ idk just my guess. But I feel like sometimes she needs to step back and let Hannah speak for herself so that hannah can begin to slowly feel more comfortable and maybe break out of her shell. The moms on the show act as if she’s a horrible mom I think she just really cares so much about her child and it’s just the wrong path🤷🏼‍♀️

@@eXtremeGoLden I agree. I am 15 years old and I have extremely severe social anxiety disorder. When I was 14, my parents decided to take me to therapy for the first time in my life. Now, i am extremely shy and i have a hard time forming relationships with my peers. My parents are incredibly kind and supportive, but I feel like my mental health would be in a better place right now if they would have taken me to therapy as soon as they noticed something was off with me. (Probably around 3-4 years old).

I love that Ana is apart of Hannahs rehearsals and gives both compliments and constructive criticism, while also noting the things Hannah is good at. You can totally tell Ana doesn't put pressure or expectation, and simply allows Hannah to dance naturally and fix small details.

This is what should be in the actual dance moms episodes, not the drama. Lots of us watch for the actual dancing and not drama. But I love how Ann is helping her daughter run the dance many times and give corrections.... this is what makes good dancers.

See, this is how you can help train your kids to get better at their craft, by providing constructive criticism as well as complimenting when they do something correct. Not by babying them and telling them that they are always perfect, but by being hard and critical in a nice and constructive way that won’t pressure the kids so much that they end up messing up. Parents need to find a happy medium and that is exactly what Ann has done which is allowing Hannah to advance tremendously and I am so proud of her! With a mother like that she will defiantly succeed in her dreams of she really wants too!

During the interviews throughout the first few episodes, I didn’t really like Hannah’s mom, her correcting her daughters talking and laughing, came off quite rude. But this scene totally changed my mind, and now I love her and realize how sweet she is, and the producers and editing were just clouding my judgement.

ranibowunicorn I agree. Hannah is shy but I also feel like she just doesn’t know what to say in some of the interviews. Even in ones where she is by herself she normally doesn’t say that much she is not used to a camera being around her all the time. She probably has social anxiety

Now watching this season and also clips lifetime is sharing with us I almost get the vibe that Hannah is more than shy and that’s why her mother over compensates by talking for her and prompting her. It makes me curious to know if she has a slight form of autism or social anxiety an is just a very good dancer as well. I really did not like momma Ann but now getting the vibe I’m getting I really do and I feel like she is the best and most real mom on the team.

This mother is one of a kind! Absolutely amazing woman!!! Nice and supportive of her daughter, she loves for her to get corrections and actually suggestes her daughter how to fix them. I hope Hannah, when she grows up, she realizes that and starts thanking her mother for what she does for her. For now this kid is a little overwelmed by the new situation and probably all the pressure, but I am sure she'll become more and more confident soon and maybe she'll open up a little bit. As long as she really wants to do it at this level, she'll get to it with a mother like that. Good job Ann and keep working hard Hannah!!! 💞💞💞

She's also doing something I haven't seen other moms doing or I haven't seen them do much and is taking time to run through the dance and talk about corrections. Yes, she's a dance teacher and knows what needs to be corrected, however other moms can ask abby for a list of corrections and work on their dances with them. I love this video. crystal yea they often reuse music between the two shows, or even just on dance moms itself. Lifetime has deals with specific music libraries so Abby can only use music that comes from those. It’s also why Lifetime has been changing the music in some of their clips, they just lost a contract with a library they used to use so they no longer have the rights to use the song

I love this ! It’s great to see real rehearsals and footage of the process of the dances coming together ! This shows the real work of a dance mom and how we clean the dances with our kids!

this was so precious and heartwarming. the show only shows the absolute worst of these moms and with hannah’s mom, you really see the undying love she has for hannah and how she solely wants to see her succeed. i can’t stop smiling omg i’m so happy after watching this :)
