Dancing In The Moonlight COVER

My band mates helped me make this cover. David Derman on vocals, Oliver Amos on bass and keys, and myself on guitar and drums.
We recorded this during the height of lockdown, so David recorded his vocals at home on an iPhone 5, and Oli and I made use of what gear we had available to us to put this together. It was quite a challenge!

This is actually more like the original Boffalongo version from 1970 - the band of the songwriter. This is a new favorite version. Great job.

I"ve heard this song a million times. A long time ago I actually worked with two of the members of King Harvest who recorded the song (they have a great story about the band). This was a fantastic version. Loved the vocals and drums especially. Way to go!

I was surprised (almost shocked) how good of a cover this was. Funny thing was, I didn't see that the keyboardists and the bass player were the same person until after eight times viewing. Then I noticed the drummer and the guitar players were too. I'm not stupid, but I swear that I thought that the guitar players were twin brothers, taking this as a given fact until I looked closely and saw they were in the same clothes.

This is by far the best cover version I have heard to date, and I have listened to a lot of bands trying to capture what Kings Harvest's "Dancing in the moonlight" should have been released as. The vocals, bass, percussion, and keyboards are wonderfully produced. In my opinion, this blows away others, including Toploader's attempt in that, the tempo is just right, the percussion is much stronger (compared to the original) and the vocalist actually seemed like he enjoyed singing the song. My only wish is that the song had at least one more verse and maybe an extended bridge, but hey, it was faithful to the original. Wish this was available for high quality download to use in some DJ dance party sets.

The song brought the smile, but the performance made it even bigger. David - your facial expressions sold it, and I was headed to the ATM to get more cash; Oliver - one word: TASTY! Those are just a few things noted...the rest of what I heard was a band that was really enjoying themselves with a classic 1970s song I doubt any of you were even being thought of when it was released - perhaps your grandparents can remember the original...I know I do. Anyway...great cover and the harmonies were just fantabulous. Rock on!!!
