I'm surprised that more instant food companies don't do this. The military has been doing stuff like this for years with their MRE's. Also the meal shown at 5:02 looks a lot like Filipino caldereta (basically beef stew with rice). :)

@@jkjordon1 ive only found them occasionally at the asian market. Here in michigan they have a few in lansing and grand rapids for sure and over by flint there is a big H mart that might have them. Your best friend is Google and seeing if there are any good Asian markets near you. I hope this helps a bit. I cant buy them often only because I can't do spicy yet. Most tend to be spicy hotpot flavors. I do know you can buy the heating packets off of Amazon but you'd still need the pots. Occasionally you can go to military surplus and nab some of the big self heating rations but normally you got to buy by the case and oof! The price is daunting.

Ok I was a bit skeptical going into this video but wow this is awesome. Imagine going camping or hiking and having an entire meal that can be heated and made in like 15-20 minutes with absolutely no fire or electricity. Awesome stuff ^_^

I believe we don't have them in the US because of laws about preserved or unrefrigerated meat that prevent them from being sold here. It sucks, but I think I saw those heating packets at my store recently at least which is cool

i had these all the time travelling and they were so good! No stove, with only cold water from the washroom sink. Super filling meal, the ones I had were all too oily for me, but tasted just like a homemade meal! Very good, wish I could get these easier where I live.

if you pay a dollar, you can get a pack of 2 hand warmers that these things use as a heat source, just like an mre. i hope you saved a couple bites for that bird from the beginning, he seemed pretty cool.

dude I have a ridiculous spice tolerance because for some reason my family just loved spicy and I learned a lot of ethnic recipes and a lot of random soul foods but I walked into an asian market bought some random dried red peppers and those fuckers melted my face of and made me cry at a football game, I haven't felt pain like that ever in my life it was like fucking pepper spray with a touch of literal fucking acid because why not don't eat bags of dried peppers like chips people I would not recommend this, at least asian store peppers other peppers ain't shit
