Voldemort beats sauron easy. You literally only have to remove the ring to destroy his body, and Sauron has no range in combat. Accio the one ring, apparate in Mt doom, drop it in. Sauron becomes a caporeal fart unable to take physical form ever again. Heck, he could stupify sauron, levitate him by his armour, and drop him into the lava. He could turn his mace into a pig, make his teeth and toenails grow at an alarming rate then make him throw up slugs into his helmet just for a laugh then make him do the cha cha while shiting out turtles. As for palpatine, it's a case of who hits first. Palpatine 9.5 times out of 10 because of his ridiculous reflexes and ability to sense intentions, so it's really hard to surprise attack him..

If they wanted to rid Sauron of most of his power, they'd have to do that, which no one can do willingly. It took intervention from Eru Illuvitar, aka Middle-Earth's God, for the Ring to be cast back into the fires it came from. Plus, Gil Galad and Elendil possessed superhuman strength, and merely exhausted Sauron, which cost them their lives. Isildur then came along, saw the exhausted Sauron on the ground, and merely cut the One Ring from his finger, which is how he was defeated. He poured a majority of his power into the Ring, and having exhausted his physical body, losing the One Ring for so long severely diminished the power he had. Even still, he played the role of the puppeteer afterwards, regaining his former strength, before personally torturing Gollum for the location of the Ring, his touch burning, skin black, with 9 fingers, due to Isildur having cut off the finger bearing the Ring. And that Ring itself is a whole other can of worms, from its nigh indestructibility, to its corruptive nature, poisoning the mind of the bearer, making them unable to let go of it, and if they at all want power, the Ring makes them want to use its power against Sauron, which would only be bringing it back to its master, as it answers to Sauron alone, and cannot be destroyed willingly.

Fuck, LOTR is positively RIFE with the idea. Not that it actually matters anyhow, because Palpatine in both canon's isn't really a human being by even ROTJ, if not ROTS. He's a living Dark Side nexus and is functionally just as much of a avatar of evil itself as Sauron is, if not moreso, since at least Sauron fell from grace. Sauron is powerful but his power is in influence, or political type power. What some refer to as "soft power" I think if they existed in the same universe it would be very interesting. Sauron is possibly BILLIONS of years old and has infinite wisdom and incalculable intellect. He would likely realize the direct combat prowess that Palps has. Sauron would prefer to dominate the will and mind of Sidious. I don't know if that would be possible because Sidious has an extremely powerful mind. Sauron would recognize Sidious's lust for power and fashion him a ring like he did for the Elves, Dwarves and men. There's so many variables in this match-up and each side has ways to counter the other, so I can't really say who would win. In a long game I'd bet on Sauron though and he would play it that way. The other factor is that Sauron isn't really a tangible entity in LOTR, he doesn't really have a physical form yet without the ring. He's a spirit still so I don't think Sidious COULD fight him.

First off palpatine isn’t more powerful Given Sauron from literally every movie or show you see outside the books He is in a weakened state like at 1-2% of his overall power Even in the beginning of the prolong to lord of the rings in the lore Sauron was literally killed by God himself just to weaken him enough so the people of the world stood a chance against him; be it a chance as Sauron was still wining the majority at the end of the day, losing sue to being weak and the fact it took the best of Best to fight him and they died trying, with the ring separated from him he got even weaker Essentially the whole point of Sauron is his powers is left up the to imagination meaning if you think he can do it he can, but his power is finite So in that sense palatine maybe better given the force isn’t finite but Sauron at his absolute strongest is perhaps on the level of the ones in Star Wars if not greater in his true form As for smarts compared to palpatine Palpatine basically worked around a corrupted government with selfish people who didn’t think about the bigger picture basicly tricking a galaxy of political fools who either believed in a broken system or abused it With the Jedi being dogmatic ingrained in said broken political system and we’re going against the will of the force, essentially the Jedi were idiots who were arrogant about their place in the galaxy So basically palatine was in a galaxy full of idiots as it was easy for him to gain control as he did, all he had to do was get in by bribing the right people to get him in office, create a army that the Jedi didn’t even question a slave clone army, and set up a war with other worlds just to gain more power by playing both sides cause no one could put together why the war even started When a simple investigation should have been conducted by the Jedi or even some random organization to understand the lay out of all the events But no one did for some reason other than they are idiots who didn’t think it was worth their time or had all the pieces but didn’t bother to put it together Cause the sith returned which the Jedi knew about even that the republic was controlled by the sith meaning everything that happens in the senate is what the sith want but didn’t have the Iq or instincts to get sus about the whole thing till they all died(even the fact the most powerful person in the senate was the very sith they were looking for and didn’t even put that together when all the signs were there, in fact their logic of not thinking it was palatine is that logic he is already in control of the galaxy……WHAT!!!KNOWING THE SITH YIU WOULD KNOW THEY WOULDNT STOP WITH JUST THE GALAXY POWER FOR POWER SAKE COME ON. This is there line of logic) Even after palatine got everything he wanted when he was in full control he is the very reason the empire got destroyed His arrogance and overconfidence(sorta like the Jedi) that the Death Star would be enough to destroy the rebels he gave them the weak point to it anyway cause he though he was unstoppable Not to mention didn’t think to put two and two together that killing the son of a man who has hated you after turning him when he is standing right next to you when you killing his son isn’t a good idea So essentially palatine outsmarted everyone cause everyone was either an idiot fool or selfish to the point they were blind to what he was doing And when he had everything he himself turned into a fool/idiot cause he thought he already won and didn’t need to think twice about giving away his weakness or think about the implications of his actions Now let’s look at Sauron Sauron had to trick immortal elves who lived for thousands of years who know of the divine are in good faith with the divine and know everything that can possibly be known at the time, being absolute lore masters about every event that transpired They were near impossible to fool and Sauron out played them Showing up as a messenger of the divine to help heal and maintain magic in the world teaching them to make rings, and even thou 90% the elves were sus and didn’t trust him they still couldn’t figure out if he was actually a messenger of the divine or a devil Sauron only got discovered when the elves made 3 rings of their own that are still bonded to his magic, so technically they barley escaped his trap by making rings without him right after he left even thou they are still bounded to him; it was a near accident that they even found out And I when they did, only than did he start a war And even than after the war when he was held back Sauron surrendered himself willingly to the most powerful faithful and stoborn super human kingdom of that you can possibly think of,(think of asgard from Thor in the marvel universe) and within just 2 JUST TWO YEARS(that’s shorter than the clone wars) he basically went from prisoner to adviser to the most powerful human kingdom on earth in its history and there after , convincing people to human sacrifices, promising them immoral life under him with his rings and said if you want eternal life you will attack the undying lands to fight the valar little gods under the one God, effectively sending them to their deaths This pissed off God so much he changed the whole world destroyed numinor And blasted Saurons physically body to oblivion And that’s where the lord of the rings begins when Sauron is weak the survivors of numinor and the elves literally moving as fast as they can to kill Sauron again before he can fully recover Meaning if Sauron was never killed by eru he would have won, even at the end of lord of the rings eru/God made gollum trip into mount doom It took divine intervention to take down Sauron, saruon’s biggest mistake was just pissing then off to the point they intervened, but if there was no invention he would have won Essentially if you were to put Sauron in Star Wars And palatine in middle earth Palatine would be killed off easily be a plink in history and not worth remembering given the wizards can kill Jim the elves live longer than he possibly can, and they can fight off telekinesis abilities, Sauron I’m Star Wars if you transport him from the first movie, he take over the galaxy faster than palatine did and would turn the Jedi to his side Instead of killing then he make them his tools and they wouldn’t even be able to fight him given unless a lightsaber or the force is a divine in nature Sauron is basically invincible to all physically damage throw him into a sun or black hole he won’t be harmed physically Ya I don’t understand why people siduous Or Voldemort are even a challenge when Sauron is literally the OG dark lord of fantasy, without the lord of the rings(himself irionicly) most fantastical elements wouldn’t be as they are today implying the characters of dark lords after him wouldn’t be as they are.

But with Saurons manipulation powers alot of planets at least half of them would be under Saurons influence plus ring wraiths (if not more) Sidtius would need the Jedi and everyone to help him defeat Sauron if he's not already under his influence and carrying out his will.

Palpatine subtly, but directly controlled the minds of thousands - if not millions of individuals. During RotJ, Palpatine was coordinating all the fighters outside the Death Star with no loss in concentration of events immediately around him. Sauron's mind control influence spanned dozens at best. But there's where the problem begins. It's not about how many each can control. But how thoroughly - how good were each at dominating the will of one other being? At this, I think you have to give this one to Sauron. I think Sauron could seize control over Palpatine like a demonic possession. I think there's no contest here. Sidious would lose himself in an instant. Also, as a Maia, Sauron can enter and exit his body like a cheap suit. Outside his body, he's pure spirit - a judeo-christian arc-angelic being on the level of Michael, Gabriel, and Lucifer. There is no mind for Sidius to control. Nothing to latch onto - force or otherwise. Sauron would take total control and stick Sidious in a corner of his own mind to watch as Sauron takes full possession of his mind, his body, and even his power over the force. Just like a real demonic possession, Sidious would be relegated to a spectator in his own mind as Sauron uses him like a muppet. Voldemort, btw, would be a perfect candidate to replace one of the ring wraiths. I think one of the 9 would lose his ring in favor of Voldemort. And I think ole Volde would learn his place fairly quickly.

@A Tale’s Truth sauron never had anything close to a billion under his command. He rarely had any force even close to a million under his command at 1 time, not including slaves. Morgoth maybe had a few million orcs and goblins, but sauron was never able to summon a force more than a few 100,000 for any given battle. Palpatine had simultanious control of over 3,000,000 clone troopers in the Republic army and over 2,000,000 droids in the separatist army, though he pitted them against each other to gain political control. The number of forces in the empire is harder to estimate, but it's probably around half a billion given the amount of star destroyers 25,000 being manned by 40,000 each and the amount of land forces needed to control planets across multiple systems. Voldemort had around 30 death eaters, some lower ranked subordinates, some trolls, giants, spiders, and a snake. He had staged a coup to take over the ministry of magic but the ministry didn't really have a standing army to take over, they mostly just relied on the aurora's to fight dark wizards who wouldn't change sides unless controlled by imperious curse. So when it comes to numbers, civilians included or not, sidious dwarfs voldemort, sauron, and even morgoth in military might, tech, weaponry, and resources. He could literally destroy them from space with the other 2 having no possible way of fighting back.

Its hard to believe force lightening or any of Palpatine's force tricks would work. Because of his angelic nature it is literally impossible for him to be killed. He might be overcome by pure physical force but he would simply reform. Once having taken Palpatine's measure he would formulate a strategy to destroy the still Mortal emperor

Why do you think just saying 'B-BUT, GAWD, DOO??!??!?' is actually an argument for superiority when its an utterly meaningless title thats even more meaningless when comparing entirely different pieces of fiction with entirely different rules, metaphysics, and power scales? Speaking of power scales, Palpatine in either canon is so hysterically far beyond both of the others that he flash vaporizes them accidently, because one of these people can bench press capital ships and life wipe planets, and the other two, uh, can't. Sauron coming back eventually is just as meaningless as Voldie coming back eventually; its a years long, if not decades long process that will result in nothing more than him being toyed with them summarily atomized again, over and over, until Sidious gets bored of the matter. Although there's no real proof Sauron can just infinitely reform bodies over and over again, and infact we know he can't because he loses some degree of power from dying physically, as the destruction of Numenour and his loss of being able to assume fair form ever again shows.
@Scar-Predator4 ай бұрын
@@papapalps2415 Sauron can return at anytime he wants, he can ditch his physical body and come back right after with a new one. And that's not talking about the actual corrupting nature of the One Ring. Maybe do some, idk, ACTUAL RESEARCH, before you comment again, mkay? Sauron has existed since before anything physical was created, and will continue to exist after anything physical is no more.
@papapalps24154 ай бұрын
@@Scar-Predator No, he can't. Neither Sauron nor any other Maiar can 'instantly' make new bodies. The bare minimum we have seen outside of direct intervention from God/Eru is centuries, ala both times Sauron has died (from Numenour and the Last Alliance, respectively). Both instances of which also wonderfully demonstrate that Maiar, and Ainur more generally, cannot just continually keep making new bodies for themselves ad infinitum. Sauron lost his shape-shifting abilities after the first death, and permanently lost a finger after the second. As a sidenote; the Ring not being directly in Sauron's possession is meaningless to the power it provides him, per one of Tolkien's letters. It is always bound to him intrinsically, regardless of the distance. That aside; you seem like you may be fun to milk. Keep going, little random. By all means, accuse your betters of being just as clueless as you are.
@AltairEgo14 ай бұрын
I'm not sure how much his title matters, given his body was destroyed by a mortal, wounded man wielding a broke sword. Yeah yeah, numenorean line of kings stronk. I know. But I'd be willing to wager if Isildur could do this, a Sith Lord could accomplish it. So yes, he could probably, with much difficulty, destroy Sauron's body. The ring on the other hand, that's a different ballgame entirely. So for the sake of argument let's just go with Sauron's physical body, which, like Palpatine's, can very much be destroyed. His essense still lives on, but then so does Palpatine's through his clone program.

Though the reason for it is very complex and is related to how much more calculated Sauron used his Fëa.

The thing about Sauron which is displays himself as unique from all other villains is one thing: the Ring. Even if Sauron is defeated in battle, the Palpatine would take the ring, and knowing that he must destroy it, he would try. But that would be very difficult because of how the Ring works on the will of certain people. I am unsure of how Palpatine would take the situation of having the Ring, because he is pretty smart so he might be able to ignore the temptations of the Ring. Or maybe not. @@DrownedWick8 "I watched all 6 movies, read LOTR...(snip)" All that, and you still have zero clue what you are talking about. That might be even worse, actually. "...because the Ring will totally corrupt them..." Oh, nooooooo!!! Now Darth Sidious, the Galactic Emperor/Voldemort, the Dark Lord, leader of the Death Eaters, will be kicking THREE puppies a day, not just two! The horror, the horror! "This will happen as many times as it needs..." Again, I cannot begin to empathize this enough; the Ring being in someone else's possession IS NOT A WIN CONDITION for Sauron. The entire plot of LOTR as a series is actually centered on that fact. "Plus Sauron is an immortal being and the rest are not..." He's 'immortal' in the sense he can never truly, fully die (at least by Tolkien rules, anyways; Sidious can and does have soul affecting abilities and attacks). He is not immortal in the sense that he can just keep coming back with a body ad infinitum.

Let me give you a lesson here on palatine when compared to other dark lords, prime example Sauron First off palpatine isn’t more powerful Given Sauron from literally every movie or show you see outside the books and even in the books He is in a weakened state like at 1-2% of his overall power Even in the beginning of the prolong to lord of the rings in the lore Sauron was literally killed by God himself just to weaken him enough so the people of the world stood a chance against him; be it a chance as Sauron was still wining the majority at the end of the day, losing sue to being weak and the fact it took the best of Best to fight him and they died trying, with the ring separated from him he got even weaker Essentially the whole point of Sauron is his powers is left up the to imagination meaning if you think he can do it he can, but his power is finite So in that sense palatine maybe better given the force isn’t finite but Sauron at his absolute strongest is perhaps on the level of the ones in Star Wars if not greater in his true form As for smarts compared to palpatine Palpatine basically worked around a corrupted government with selfish people who didn’t think about the bigger picture basicly tricking a galaxy of political fools who either believed in a broken system or abused it With the Jedi being dogmatic ingrained in said broken political system and we’re going against the will of the force, essentially the Jedi were idiots who were arrogant about their place in the galaxy So basically palatine was in a galaxy full of idiots as it was easy for him to gain control as he did, all he had to do was get in by bribing the right people to get him in office, create a army that the Jedi didn’t even question a slave clone army, and set up a war with other worlds just to gain more power by playing both sides cause no one could put together why the war even started When a simple investigation should have been conducted by the Jedi or even some random organization to understand the lay out of all the events But no one did for some reason other than they are idiots who didn’t think it was worth their time or had all the pieces but didn’t bother to put it together Cause the sith returned which the Jedi knew about even that the republic was controlled by the sith meaning everything that happens in the senate is what the sith want but didn’t have the Iq or instincts to get sus about the whole thing till they all died(even the fact the most powerful person in the senate was the very sith they were looking for and didn’t even put that together when all the signs were there, in fact their logic of not thinking it was palatine is that logic he is already in control of the galaxy……WHAT!!!KNOWING THE SITH YIU WOULD KNOW THEY WOULDNT STOP WITH JUST THE GALAXY POWER FOR POWER SAKE COME ON.

@@ATalesTruth- and Sauron's arrogance is what let the ring be destroyed. He never suspected a hobbit could do such a thing. Palpatine was perfectly fine right up until that last fight in ROTJ and the only reason he lost was because of Luke. Palpatine could control all of his soldiers through the force and controlled his pilots during that battle. The empire was winning until Luke killed Palpatine. Ever find it odd that the rebels won the second Palpatine died? It was because Palpatine was controlling his units with the force. So really it wasn't the rebels that did it or his own arrogance. It was Luke skywalker and Vader's redemption
@SpecForceMarine4 ай бұрын
@@ATalesTruth- You're talking without even knowing what Palpatine was even capable of and over simplify things here. A simple investigation isn't enough to simply know whose behind the war, expecially not in a place the size of a galaxy. The Jedi were constantly investigating, and knew the Sith were behind the war most likely and suspected Palpatine in some way being involved, just yet not to what extent, but there were fears especially towards the end that might be the Sith himself, which was confirmed when it was too late. One of the reasons behind the war was to keep the jedi distracted, dispersed, while the shroud of the dark side could further increase. Sidious was still a master manipulator who removed much of the traces leading to him as the grand schemer, misleading the jedi and distracting them, and he already was in control of most major institutions and groups to an extent in secret, so he could do that at demand almost instantly. He planned all that decades ahead and while many influential people he used were corrupt that still was partly due the Sith's plan of the Banite lineage over centuries to rule the galaxy, not a single planet like Arda. It's not like Sauron didn't use corrupt, selfish or misguided people, in fact his servants outnumbered the free folks by a lot. Also Sauron got defeated by a few people far less powerful than him even in a direct fight with the ring, who are below jedi master level. Sidious killed a number of the most powerful jedi masters in minutes or even seconds, ag that's him not even on his prime power. Despite being known for the power of his offensive attacks, like force lightning being among the most powerful users of it, with others turning organic matter into ash in seconds already, or affecting the minds of billions, or being able to casually hide a 20km star dreadnought on the surface of a dense city without anyone noticing, or creating force strorms ripping holes into time space and destroying entire fleets in short time, or torching planets, he was also able to use the ability of essence transfer, allowing him to escape his physical body and get into a new one across the galaxy. Many of those powers are similar to Sauron's already, or more impressive. He was considered one of the most powerful Sith in galactic history, among sith that could make stars go supernova or cheat death and live more than one existence at once splitting their consciousness into different beings, like Vitiate. The video did not mention that. Also Sidious was a sorcerer and collector of ancient powerful artefacts himself, he might realise its the possesive power of the ring and that it attempts to take over him, so he might refrain from using it at all and only reky in his own power seeing it as weakness to use an external object for power over a longer period of time, Sidious already hated lightsaber combat, viewing it as inferior means to fight, it was mostly a mockery against the jedi, and was the type of Sith who only used artefacts on special occasions or simply so not anyone else could have them. Sidious was already xorruptee by tye dar side enough so tye ring wouldn't do much akd his arrogance would rather prevent him from using it, relying mostly on his own power. He might even consider to destroy it if he sees a danger to his own power to it, if he notices how the ring draws him towards him, which would destroy Sauron or severely weaken him.
@SpecForceMarine4 ай бұрын
@@ATalesTruth-Biggest issue for Sidious would be Sauron's immortality and that he is beyond normal life, and being defeated is almost meaningless, he could simply return to life and outlive Palpatine and find ways to prevent him from transferring into other bodies, or clones, if Sidious himself doesn't find a way before to get rid of Sauron. Sauron might even not try to directly fight Sidious, but simply in some way have more control then him or just rule over Arda. Simply unaliving Sidious might be meaningless to him. He would rather try to deceive and manipulate to dominate and bring turmoil and conflict. He might simply incorporate Sidious actions as part of his greater plan and instead use one Sidious more powerful Servants as his own and also possibly slowly corrupt and destabilise the empire from within if his reach was far enough. But it really depends on it, he's mostly seen as planetery level threat, not galactic level like Sidious in terms of control, but he may simply nit be interested in more than Arda, but could be potentially be able of more. And if not Sidious couldn't take over Arda or at least control it for long, especially not if he had to rule over the rest if his empire too. But he could use a super weapon on Arda to destroy it, but then it's still possible he still preserves his spirit move it to another planet, but that's hard to say, since there's not much info to what extent his potential abilities go.

I'll share how I think this Battle of the Dark Lords would go down, and leave thoughts and analysis in the replies, since I hope the description is more entertaining 😀 Sauron, Palpatine and Voldemort would start by sizing each other up, using their respective mind reading abilities. In all three cases, this tends to be a battle of wills. This is easily dominated by Sauron. The Dark Lord of Mordor may actually let his opponents see his capabilities, like he let Denethor see his armies assembling as part of his plan to push the Steward to despair. The other two would likely get some insight into Sauron's limits, what he can't do. However, I doubt Sauron would let them see his one true weakness: a major debuff should he lose the Ring (his amp would be lost). They may figure out his secondary weakness of not really being a fighter, but how would they understand the Ring? Voldemort is an excellent Legilimens and able Occlumens, but against Sauron, he'd be completely outclassed. Sauron's primary being is spiritual; his main strength is in spirit. Still, overly proud, Tom would try to shield his mind. Sauron would perceive this and, while projecting an image of a Great Eye, lidless, wreathed in flame, send a clear message inside the heads of his opponents: "You cannot hide. I see everything." Palpatine may actually take a more subtle approach, pretending to put up much less resistance than he is, letting Sauron think he's weaker than he is, delighting in deceiving the All-Seeing Eye. Sauron may or may not fall for this, but I'll give creamy Sheev at least some success due to Sauron's own arrogance - and he would perceive his opponents are mortal Men. Men of extraordinary power, but Men. I think at least the lightsabers would remain hidden. Out loud, Voldemort would reply to Sauron: "You shall be dead." Immediately he would launch a barrage of spells at the Lord of Mordor, but Sauron would be unaffected, perhaps thanks to his armor (a movie invention, but actually plausible given his book background, and he may have made it magic resistant), or thanks to his nature as an Ainu. The Killing Curse is a necromantic spell; its workings are directly tied to the bond between soul/spirit and body. This works fundamentally differently for Ainur like Sauron than for humans. So Sauron would at most be drained slightly from the whole ordeal. Palpatine meanwhile would be cackling. Voldemort, feeling Palpatine is mocking his efforts, would redirect his attacks to the only other being in the room they'd work on, but the Dark Lord of the Sith would have no problem dodging them all. Then, he'd retaliate with a Force Push, knocking Voldemort out. Sauron would perceive the Dark Wizard still lives, but would soon be forced to change his own focus. Palpatine would have been saving up his strength to deal with the greater threat, as he would have easily perceived (he'd have read Voldemort's mind with ease, Sauron having punched through his defences and left him wide open). He would conjure up a Force Storm. Sauron would be unimpressed. Compared to the destruction of Númenor, which he survived in canon, this would be... not nothing, but not remarkable. He would decide to show this mortal his own power, clenching his right hand to erupt a nearby volcano, changing the weather and calling up a mist. He would emerge as a werewolf, leaping at Palpatine, aiming for the throat. This is about when Sauron would be unpleasantly surprised for the first time in this fight. Instead of a Force Push, Palpatine would respond by igniting a lightsaber. Without armor, Sauron's physical form would be extremely vulnerable to this ludicrously powerful weapon, easily sliced. Sauron, calm and collected, cold and confident to a fault, would be startled, and likely angered. He would leave his now destroyed body, teleporting some distance away to get away from that strange weapon - clearly some enchanted blade, but unlike any Noldorine sword or even Narsil. His dismay would only grow as Palpatine would ignite his second lightsaber. Sauron would reform his armored form, the eruption, weather change, shape shifting and going from physical to spirit to physical again starting to wear him out. With that weighing on his mind, Palpatine charging and slashing at him with shocking speed would be another unwelcome development. Sauron would have to decide: rely on his armor, or take a form that could contend with Sidious' speed. Ultimately, I think he'd go with the former option, always prone to relying on things he can make and control. Even his armor, though, would take a beating under dozens of lightsaber slashes. The Dark Lord of Mordor would strike back with his mace or other weapons he can form or summon with his spirit, but finally he would decide this is not enjoyable. Survivable, certainly, but he'd rather not be drained more than necessary. Ultimately, Palpatine likely could barely destroy his armor and the form within, if that, but Sauron could reform, especially if he'd escape with the Ring. So he would unleash a pulse of power, forcing Sidious back, before sending raw dark energy at him. Palpatine would be positively giddy, taking it as a sign he'd put Sauron on the back foot. Holding back Sauron's attack, he would plan on getting in close again. He'd never get a chance. Voldemort, having regained consciousness, would have cast an illusion or invisibility spell to conceal his presence and non-verbally cast Petrificus Totalus on Palpatine, planning to take out the now weakened Sauron, then kill the Sith Lord at his leisure. Sauron would have halted his attack, using precious seconds to, however minor the amount, recuperate some power with the Ring. Alerted to Voldemort's presence, he would soon detect him, speaking: "I see you." With another concentrated use of his will, he'd break the illusion or invisibility, Voldemort casting the Imperius Curse on him, proclaiming: "You serve me now!" He'd let out his odd laugh. Sauron would reply: "I serve no one." A blast of energy would force Voldemort to Disapparate, reappearing behind Sauron. His dramatics getting in the way, he would tell the Dark Lord of Mordor: "You were a truly remarkable opponent. But only I can live forever." Sauron would quietly recite in Black Speech: "Three Rings for the Elven Kings under the sky. Seven for the Dwarf Lords in their halls of stone." Then, louder, continue in English: "Nine for _mortal Men, doomed to die_. One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne." He would face Voldemort, telling him: "Witness the prophecy of your doom!" Showing Tom Riddle his Ring, he would form a claw with his hand, holding the Wizard in place as he'd gather up a storm of his own. Voldemort would cast Fiendfyre, but Sauron surpassed the Balrogs; this cheap parlour trick would be brushed aside. Sauron would declaim in Black Speech: "One Ring to rule them all. One Ring to find them. One Ring to bring them all and in the Darkness bind them!" As the lightning bolt would finally strike, with the power to destroy a mountainside, the greatest Dark Wizard to ever terrorize England would be reduced to ash, only the Elder Wand remaining, preserved by Sauron for testing. "Fool. You did not think your magician's tricks could contend with the might of Sauron? There are none who can. Against the power of Mordor there can be no victory." "You are so correct in one respect." As soon as Voldemort died, Palpatine would have awoken, now hitting Sauron with Force Lightning. "The key to victory is POWER!" Sheev would scream, now firing with all his strength. "UNLIMITED POWER!" Sauron would be forced back briefly, but he'd be out of patience. "There is no light that can defeat the Darkness," he would tell the Emperor, amassing his own strength, letting his armor protect him. Then, pushing through Palpatine's attack, Sauron would envelop him with raw power, utterly destroying his body. Shedding his own form, he would, to his amazement, still detect Palpatine, locating and capturing his spirit with the might of his own before gathering the Horcruxes and taking them all to the Sammath Naur, the Chamber of Fire, the center of his power. "I am impressed," he'd tell Palpatine. "Men can not normally exist in this state." "The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural," Palpatine would explain, hoping to weasel his way out of the situation. "To cheat death... this power only one has achieved. But if we work together, I know we can discover the secret." Sauron, already immortal, would only laugh. "I need no cooperation to learn from you, now that your soul is laid bare before the Lidless Eye." Just to prove his dominance and punish Palpatine's resistance, Sauron would read his mind again, this time getting everything. Then he'd throw the Horcruxes into Mount Doom, confident that if Fiendfyre can destroy them, surely the very fire in which his Ring was made and can be unmade will suffice. In the meantime, he would crush the last remnant of Palpatine, ending the fight as he'd proclaim: "There is no life in the void. Only death."

Alright, let's see how we got here! A set-up for the fight! First, for location, as a fun nod to Death Battle, let's set this fight at the lair of the WoW Lich King. We'll assume Sauron gained no power from that victory, and the ground is solid. On to the real meat: the combatants! VOLDEMORT Tom Riddle, the greatest Dark Wizard to ever exist in the Wizarding World (and we know their history stretches back at least to Ancient Egypt), is simultaneously very limited and an amazing pioneer. Voldemort is an absolute master of the 'classics' of the Wizards of his world: spells, charms, transfigurations, incantations, magical objects. On those fronts, he pushed the limit. Multiple Horcruxes may have been attempted before, but going through the process as often as 6 times was uncharted territory; that also meant Voldemort didn't foresee his soul becoming unstable and splitting without him meaning to. However, Old Magic, like sacrificial love, and the specific magic of House-Elfs are completely outside his expertise. He doesn't understand them, pretty much at all. Basically, he understands the kind of power he himself can use. Voldemort is an excellent duelist, very fond of all three Unforgiveable Curses and Fiendfyre. Though he strikes me as a dominating fighter, perhaps not very experienced defensively. For this fight, I gave Voldemort his Horcruxes and the Elder Wand, but not the Basilisk (or his Death Eaters and other allies and followers). PALPATINE Darth Sidious, Dark Lord of the Sith, officially Emperor Sheev Palpatine, formerly Supreme Chancellor, is an extremely adept Force user, his only real rival Jedi Grand Master Yoda. In fact, according to Count Dooku, himself Sith Lord Darth Tyrannus, if Yoda were to turn to the Dark Side, he'd annihilate Sidious. Yoda himself insisted the Dark Side was NOT stronger; however, it was quicker and easier. While Palpatine was not necessarily more powerful than Yoda, he wasn't restrained by the Jedi Code, he could call upon his power more readily and learn more quickly than the Jedi, who required intense mental discipline. It should be noted it looks like Yoda actually matched Palpatine in the Force, and outdid him with the lightsaber. Palpatine's 'win' was circumstancial. Yoda was likely drained and knew he'd already given it his all and failed to destroy creamy Sheev. Even so, during his fight against Mace Windu, the second greatest of the Jedi, and three other Jedi Masters, Palpatine was in full control. Only the greatest could challenge him. He had a better showing against Yoda, I'd argue, than Voldemort against Dumbledore. He was labelled 'a black hole in the Force '. Taking this literally, Darth Sidious possessed star-levels of power. For this fight, I gave Sidious both of his lightsabers, since he has been shown using two. However, he did not get any special Dark Side artifacts.

SAURON Sauron, or Mairon, or Gorthaur, predates physical reality. He is an Ainu, specifically a Maia, originally in the service of Aulë, the craftsman of the Valar, Master over earth, metals and fire. Sauron is highly skilled in this regard, hence relying on magical artifacts when practical. He is also an excellent manager: for it was always his great virtue, and the cause of his fall, 'that he loved order and perfection in all things, and disliked all wasteful friction.' He joined Melkor/Morgoth because he saw in the first Dark Lord the power to affect change. The two... likely had a falling out over failures of Sauron, and over ideological differences. Sauron frankly had good reason to consider himself the wiser of the two. Still, he was Morgoth's greatest servant, before any Balrog, possibly before Ossë, who briefly served Morgoth, is usually responsible for storms and raised Númenor from the sea on his own, and almost certainly before Ancalagon, who died after 24 hours of exposure to a Silmaril and battling Great Eagles and a space ship (yes, really, it gets crazy) and was possibly half the size of Scotland. So... Yeah. Oh, for reference: the Silmarils can hurt evil just by their presence. A Silmaril contains the holy light of the Two Trees. The Sun and Moon each are a single fruit from one Tree. Taking it literally (admittedly, we probably... shouldn't), the Trees were up to 144,000 times as powerful as the Sun and Moon respectively. Ignoring that, Sauron may or may not have battled Tilion, his fellow Maia, who guarded the Moon. While he would have lost, the Moon being a fruit of the Silver Tree, he would have been at a disadvantage. Too speculative? Sure. We know Sauron is beyond any Balrog. The 7 Balrogs together chased off Ungoliant, who captured and threatened Morgoth. Ungoliant had the unique ability of Unlight. She could actually consume light, even that of the Trees, and it amped her. She also ate up to a thousand jewels that may gave contained might equivalent to stars. At this point, Sauron being able to survive 10 black holes feels like low-balling. As an Ainu, Sauron doesn't need a physical form to exist; it's like clothes to him. He can fight as a spirit or reconstitute himself. The Ring amps all his attributes, so he's smarter, faster and stronger with it. To even have the other 19 Great Rings made, he manipulated Celebrimbor, grandson of Fëanor, greatest of all Elves. With the Ring, he manipulated Númenor into getting itself sunk. Eru Himself, capital G God, smote Númenor and threw a lightning bolt directly at Sauron, and he escaped - though he lost the ability to take a fair form, that could help him manipulate people. Now, Sauron did suffer his fair share of losses. But he did have the worst luck, especially with his opponents. He was directly defeated by Huan and Lúthien. Huan is widely speculated to be a Maia, but at any rate, he's no regular dog; he's labelled 'The Hound of the Valar'. Lúthien meanwhile is the daughter of an Elven King who saw the Light of the Trees and a Maia, Melian, whose protective Girdle warded off even Morgoth. He was physically 'overthrown' by Ereinion Gil-Galad and Elendil the Tall, the High King of the Noldor armed with the only spear in Middle-Earth to ever have a name and the effective heir of the Kings of Númenor and leader of the Númenorean Kingdoms in exile who was also armed with Narsil, a possibly magical sword forged by the greatest Dwarven blacksmith ever, and also also an inch short of 8ft. This also happened in the middle of a massive battle, and the two Kings were possibly aided by Círdan, Elrond and Isildur, each of them a big deal on his own. Not to mention the two badasses died. His final defeat came down to his moral failings, being tricked by his enemies, arrogance, sheer dumb luck and literal divine intervention. With his eyes on the new King and his army, he was destroyed by the unlikeliest creature imaginable: Elijah Wood. By complete accident. For this fight, I'm assuming Sauron between the forging of the Ring and the Fall of Númenor, with the Ring, and the armor and mace shown in the movies. I assume Sauron could have made them; given his lack of heroic courage and interest in self-preservation, the armor in particular makes sense. I also assume he'd have given it some resistance to magic attacks, since... he could expect those.

The supernatural abilities of all three are heavily tied into willpower. Sauron is just supremely dominant in this regard. He's a divine being, who took part in the Great Music and went on to help build Eä, which is possibly a multiverse. His power, and thus his will, is immense. He was never killed, couldn't be killed except by direct intervention of Eru. Even with the Ring destroyed, Sauron was merely reduced to impotence, not destroyed. And no one, unless they have greater willpower than Sauron, can deliberately destroy the Ring. Unlike Voldemort, who, even with his Horcruxes, would never be able to reliably win, Sauron can afford to lose 'round one'. While Palpatine survived his seeming destruction, he was clearly weakened severely by the experience, requiring another power source to recover. Voldemort just can't reliably defeat either of his opponents. He may be as fast as the fastest athlete IRL and have the fastest natural and honed reflexes possible, his quickness won't be able to contend with that of the greatest Sith Lord of all time. As for Sauron, his armor could protect him from most attacks, and his nature as an Ainu and innate power would shield him from anything else, like mental attacks or the Killing Curse. It should be noted Voldemort isn't entirely hopeless against Sidious. Palpatine is a human. The Killing Curse should do him in. Also, Palpatine would not necessarily understand the Killing Curse would, well, kill him. He might try to use a Force Shield rather than dodging, which would see him dead. Running the fight 10,000 times, Voldemort would get his kills in. But, more often than not, Palpatine would come out on top. Palpatine vs Sauron is, indeed, the tricky bit. However, I would argue Sauron's defeats were mostly circumstancial, or against insanely powerful opponents, or both. He was also the victor of a magical battle against Finrod Felagund, Galadriel's brother and a powerful Elf in his own right. He can match wills with beings that wield great power in both the Seen and Unseen Realms. Palpatine would be something new, and a lot of trouble, but I don't see Sauron losing. It should be noted the video makes a great point: Sauron is at core not a warrior. I definitely believe Palpatine's lightsabers would cause him a lot of grief. However, I don't see how Palpatine can truly defeat him when Sauron can just abandon his body and fight as a spirit, matching magic against the Force, willpower against willpower. And even in a close fight, Sauron has at least one devastating option that I considered using for my description and regret throwing out: '... the hand of Sauron, which was black and yet burned like flame; and thusly Gil-Galad was destroyed.' Sauron could reach out with his hand and grab Palpatine - and burn him to a crisp. At the end of the day, there is only one Lord in this ring. Only one who can bend this fight to his will. And he does not share power.

@@JustFlemishMe Wow, that's a lot of text. It sure is a shame that its about as analytical and well thought out as average dog puts into a floor shit, and quite literally doesn't even vaguely begin to address the fact that Palpatine in either canon is so hilariously far beyond both Voldie and Sauron in both feats and accomplishments that he can kill them both with a stray thought, because they have absolutely nothing (read; zero; 0; nada) to match shit like ragdolling Super Star Destroyers or blowing up fleets of planet-glassing capital ships or the like. Because who woulda fucking thunk that a galaxy spanning space opera setting that has had quite literally hundreds of different authors and creators and thousands of works may, just may, be higher, drastically, even, in scope and scale than 2 small scale fantasy settings.

@@papapalps2415 Ah, thank you. I was starting to wonder when you'd provide evidence of your ignorance (though some would say your username suffices, but that would be more of an assumption than I should like to take). Also, you have given me every excuse to cut loose, but we must not criticize behaviour we then stoop to. I will try to be civil, though it shouldn't come as a surprise if you find my tone... cold. What evidence did you give of your ignorance? It might be easily overlooked if it wasn't right at the end. Two simple words: 'small scale'. Now, this is an easy assumption to make... if you stick to the basics. What you must understand is that in 'The Lord of the Rings', we see a dying world. It's a major theme the greatness of old is fading. We're seeing everything at its weakest. If you dig into the lore, however, you will know the scale on which Sauron has operated, and what he has survived. Sauron was part of the Great Music, from which Eä was created, and then, like the other Ainur who came to Eä, helped build it. What is Eä? The entirety of physical reality. Sauron's exact power is unknown (because Tolkien doesn't scale power quite so eaily); however, we know he was the greatest of all of Morgoth's servants. Other than Eru Himself, Morgoth and the Valar, only two beings are undeniably more powerful than Sauron: Manwë's Herald and Varda's Handmaiden. Everyone else who could be considered is at best plausibly more powerful. This includes Arien, the Maia who guards the Sun. Admittedly, Arien is framed as elite in her own right. However, Tilion, her counterpart for the Moon, doesn't seem to have been of particularly great standing among the Maiar. Even still, that's all speculative. Even if the Valar (including both Morgoth, who hampered more than he helped, and Tulkas, who only later joined the ranks) did 99% of the work, and Sauron only did one millionth of the work assigned to the Maiar (which is lowballing; a million Maiar seems unlikely, and Sauron, one of the more powerful ones, certainly did more than, say, Radagast or even Gandalf, who, while himself quite notable, openly admitted Sauron was his superior), Sauron was essentially responsible for 1/100,000,000 of the Big Bang. (That is even assuming Eä is a singular unverse; I've heard it suggested it's actually a multiverse.) OK, that's a bit abstract. Fine. If we accept Death Battle's assumption Sauron was more powerful than Ossë (which, if we take Tolkien's words to mean Sauron was the greatest being to ever serve Morgoth (Ungoliant did NOT serve him; he effectively bribed her), is factually correct; Ossë DID serve Morgoth briefly), then Sauron has greater power than that required to raise the entire island of Númenor out of the sea. Still too speculative? I understand. We know for a fact Sauron was more powerful than any Balrog. Dúrin's Bane, the Balrog we immediately think of when hearing the word, butchered the greatest Dwarven Kingdom of the time in Khâzad-Dum - a particularly impressive feat given the fact Dwarves are resistant to fire (and basically anything) and are described by Tolkien as the greatest warriors around. Ancalagon the Black also served Morgoth. Perhaps he was an anomaly, stronger than the Balrogs; however, Gandalf claims even he couldn't have destroyed the Ring, implying Sauron is still superior. Ancalagon was so powerful he could essentially breathe nuclear warheads, so large he crushed a mountain range in his fall that was also part of Morgoth's fortress, a feat calculated to be equivalent to 479 gigatons of force and one that might mean Ancalagon was half the size of Scotland, but the most impressive thing about Ancalagon was his durability. During a massive battle against all the birds in the world, including the Great Eagles, and a space ship (yes, Tolkien wrote in a space ship. Things get wild in the Silmarillion) captained by a highly skilled Elven warrior equipped with a Silmaril. What is a Silmaril, other than a third of the catalyst for an entire 500+-year war? An indestructible jewel containing the holy light of the Two Trees, of which the Sun and Moon are mere fruits. The Silmarils harm evil by their mere presence. Ancalagon fought for a whole day and night. (Admittedly, he had a whole host of flying dragons with him, but he was the greatest, bar none.) While it may betray the purpose of the Silmarillion to place fixed numbers on how the Trees relate to the Sun and Moon in terms of power (and if we did so anyway, it would only be to your detriment), we can, at least, infer the Trees were much greater, likely multiple times. But enough accolades. What did Sauron himself survive? Well, remember that island that Ossë raised, Númenor? (That took almost 4 gigatons of force, by the way.) Well, Sauron manipulated its inhabitants, the greatest human civilisation ever, into waging war against the Valar. The Valar, who did not have the authority to attack Men or Elves, asked Eru, literal capital G God, to settle the matter somehow. Eru's response was to wipe out the invasion force that landed on Valinor, and then destroy Númenor with everything and everyone on it. In the midst of all this, Sauron stood on top of a builbing, where he was struck by a lightning bolt, which, given context, we can safely assume was hurled at him by literal God Himself. And he was fine. Then, Númenor was destroyed. This did force Sauron to abandon his body, and Eru prevented him from taking fair form again; however, his power was fully restored with no more help than the Ring he forged himself. The wrath of God didn't destroy Sauron. Before, I kept my analysis vague and general, I didn't want to bore people or waste too much time. But the gloves are off. Am I being analytical enoughfor your tastes by now? Focusing too much on one side of the argument? That's fair. So let us now turn our attention to Darth Sidious, formerly Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine, known as the Emperor. In the current canon, his two great feats are: 1) in durability: surviving his own death in the destruction of the DS II battle station; and 2) in offensive ability: Force Lightning so powerful it took out, at least temporarily, a massive fleet of space craft from across the galaxy. Impressive, I do not deny it. Indeed, I reckon Sauron would be impressed with such feats from a mere mortal. However, for a being that endured the wrath of God, I'm not sure Palpatine has what it takes. Even assuming it does, the best he could hope to accomplish would be destroying Sauron's physical body. If he did so as thoroughly as Elendil and Gil-Galad, who had also put Sauron in a terrible strategic position where there was nothing to gain from carrying on, he could perhaps force Sauron into retreat. Let us be generous and assume he does so. The Ring would remain. It'd take about half a second for Sidious to be its slave. He wouldn't have the will to destroy it. He would believe he has the strength to use it. But when he would eventually face Sauron again - and between the Ring extending his life, and Sauron reconstituting himself (just painfully slowly), that would happen - it would be a battle of will. Sauron has some of his most impressive victories here, beating Finrod Felagund, Galadriel's brother and Noldorine Royalty, Saruman, the White Wizard, specifically chosen to be his chief enemy, and Denethor, Steward of Gondor. Saruman, who we know for a fact has a weaker will than Sauron, managed to dominate Théoden (though aided by Gríma Wormtongue), who at least in the movie Gandalf describes as strong-willed. Palpatine isn't a regular human. But Sauron isn't human, period. Not is he any alien. Palpatine has some unique tricks up his sleeve that would throw Sauron off, even with all his experience; but fundamentally, Palpatine is human, and Sauron has dealt with humans for millennia. Meanwile, the current canon hasn't shown much, if anything, I would liken to an Ainu. In summary: Sauron is, in two ways, co-creator of the entirety of physical reality. He is possibly more powerful than the Maiar who guard and guide the Sun and Moon, almost certainly more powerful than the Lord of Storms, who raised Númenor from the sea, and Ancalagon, who only fell to a combination of Great Eagles (basically honorary Maiar), a space ship and a Silmaril, and definitely more powerful than any Balrog, fire demons that take out entire Kingdoms, Saruman, and Gandalf, who defeated a Balrog. He personally survived the wrath of God. Palpatine may, generously, put him down once, but Sauron can come back at full strength. Sauron actually can wholly destroy Palpatine. Palpatine has no way to permanently defeat Sauron. Sauron is literally everything Palpatine wants to be. A wise ruler, immortal, powerful, and essentially unkillable.

Sauron is infinitely more powerful than Palpatine because although it is true that Palpatine can destroy entire planets, Sauron has been there since the beginning of time, he contributed to the creation of the Universe and the world, Sauron is an ancient being, but the emperor is only He is limited to being a simple human, a very old one yes, but human at the end, perhaps Palpatine can beat Sauron in a Close Combat, of which I have my doubts, because Sauron can become a giant werewolf in a bat with sharp claws, and other forms of extremely bloodthirsty creatures, there is no need. forget that it took the intervention of great warriors to defeat him, for example King Elendil, King Gil-galad, Lord Elrond Isildur and I don't remember who else, it is similar to when the Jedi went to the emperor's room, in both cases to Subduing and defeating the Villain required great combatants, however, Palpatine could have been killed, Sauron. On the other hand, he is Immortal, even without his ring, his spirit endures and according to Tolkien's mythology, Sauron will return for the end of time with all his power and in his maximum splendor without needing the single ring to have recovered all its strength. Also in the new Star Wars trilogy (which for me is not Canon By the way) What we are shown of the emperor is nothing more than a simple clone or something like that that needs technological support to stay alive Sauron does not need any type of technology he is Immortal his power has supernatural and spiritual connotations

Voldemort would try to learn all their secrets to obtain their power and plan to backstab them in the future. Palpatine would be interested in magic so he would keep voldemort around as a tool, learn his secrets and then destroy him. Palpatine would either see sauron as an incarnation of the dark side, trying to recruit him as an ally/apprentice, or see him as a rival and try to destroy him. Sauron would see voldemort as a weakling, but would use him in his plans, probably sacrificing him. Sauron would see palpatine as a way to gain more power, he would probably agree to become palpatine's apprentice to learn his secrets (making sure never to tell him how to destroy the ring), prrobably letting himself be killed in a trahison attempt just so palpatine would get the ring and then slowly corrupt palpatine and use him as his new vessel, reincarnating himself into palpatine
@JustFlemishMe Жыл бұрын
I think Sauron would be privately disgusted with both of them. (However, if anything, that may make him more determined to win and more likely to use any and all tactics; Sauron gets smarter about killing you when he REALLY hates you, not dumber.) See, Sauron's deal is he desires 'order and perfection in all things', and dislikes 'all wasteful friction'. Palpatine's Empire, where living a quiet life and getting by isn't anywhere near the attractive option it should be, would be an abhorration to him. Sith ideology, revolving around conflict, would enrage the Lord of Mordor. Interestingly, he would fully agree with Vader's speech to Luke, where he proposes that 'With our combined forces, we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the galaxy.' THAT is what Sauron is all about, and if Vader means that, Sauron would respect him at least somewhat. Meanwhile, Voldemort's Wizard Fascism, where killing Muggles has become sport and even magical folk trying to live under the new regime can be targeted just for their blood status, would also do little to earn Sauron's respect. Both Palpatine's opression and Voldemort's near-indiscriminate murder fests would effectively force people into rebellion, and Sauron would recognize that. Two notes: Sauron would keep this to himself. If he sees any use for Voldemort or Sidious, he will use them and conceal his true feelings. Perhaps he'd even manage to bring them around to his way of thinking and forgive their fallacies. Sauron is still undeniably evil. He's just a very efficient manager, more than an ideologue. He wants a well-run Empire to rule. Your life will be miserable under Sauron's rule. It's just that if you accept his rule, you'll retain your life.

The difference being, naturally, that what a feudal, medieval society that has yet to invent plumping considers 'indestructible', and what a society that has been space-faring for well over 25,000 years considers 'indestructible' are VASTLY different from each other in impressiveness, especially when said material is, infact, broken. Palpatines biggest desire is the immortality. Sauron can forge a ring and give him this "immortality" There will be no fight. Palpatine took the ring to dominate and then he fall instantly under control of sauron. He became the mightiest Nazgul with 2 Red Lightsabers, but sauron wins without any fight

And Sidious is going to be so mind numbingly moronic as to accept a gift from a blindingly obviously evil and untrustworthy medieval warlord that is also obviously magical because...?

@@papapalps2415 Palpatine is a very intelligent villain, that's no question at all: But Palpatine, without actually fully understanding the thing, will think that he can get this power from Sauron in order to then deceive him and use Sauron's power for himself to take over. He cannot know that this ring will immediately completely enslave his mind and that he will have no chance of escaping it and will not be able to take the ring off himself. Palpatine is human and one of the 9 Rings of Humans would instantly enslave him. Palpatine would certainly expect Sauron to try to control him. But he would assume a competition of spirit in which Palpatine, in his incomprehension of an immortal spirit being, would assume that he could at least maintain his independence. But that won't happen. Once he puts on the ring, he becomes Sauron's slave. But he won't be able to resist the temptation

@@muratali9632 This isn't an actual answer or response to my rhetorical question, because you cannot provide an actual valid reason why the Galactic Emperor, coming from a civilization quite literally light years more advanced then both the other two's put together, who comes from a lineage of evil space wizards who have put out vastly more potent and corruptive artifacts in their sleep (including Sidious himself), would...um, randomly accept a gift from a medieval warlord in the middle of a fight. Because that's absurd, and you are being absurd. Nevermind ANY of the other INFINITE number of issues with this stupidity; like the idea that Sauron would EVER, WILLINGLY give away the Ring, or that Palpatine has no means to destroy it despite being laughably more powerful and having technology at his disposal laughably more advanced than anything LOTR by countless orders of magntiudes. Nevermind that Sauron/the Rings of Power are not going to be capable of enslaving him, because he is laughably more willful than Sauron himself, or anyone else in the setting bar Melkor himself; nevermind that THIS ISNT EVEN HOW THE ONE RING WORKS TO BEGIN WITH; it DOES NOT 'enslave' people in the way drooling fanboy's proclaim it does, because NONE OF YOU PEOPLE have the slightest familiarity with Tolkien in ANY way. The only effect it's influence would have, if any...would be to make Darth Sidious, Dark Lord of the Sith, start kicking THREE puppies a day, not just two. Horrifying, truly.

lol, telling me you do not know how the Ring works without telling me you do not know how the Ring works. XD

@@papapalps2415 Did you read my comment correctly? I'm not talking about the one ring he forged for himself. I'm talking about one of the 9th and if he doesn't want to relocate it, he'll forge a new one from this series. He has owned the 9 long enough to understand it well enough to be able to forge more of this type. Of course he wouldn't let one of them go. but definitely one of the style of the 9. the promise of immortality? palpatine would certainly be skeptical. but just to test it out, to explore it, he would probably want to put it on at least once. and as soon as he does this just once, his soul is under the control of Sauron. inescapable. Regarding your other objections, I won't even waste the time to answer them long and in detail. Sauron is an immortal spiritual being. No power that Palpatine possesses as a person would be able to do anything against him

But then Sauron manipulates Palpatine and the game is over... which he knows he can and will do
