Sometimes you say something I need to hear at exactly that moment. I am always too quick to lose heart when my work falls short of my desire for excellence. At my age, given my failing eyesight and arthritic fingers, my ambitions are unrealistic. Thank you for reminding me again that I am doing this for the joy in doing, not for recognition from others.

There's no doubt that it's lovely when others like and appreciate our creativity... But in the end we're doing it for ourselves..to satisfy the need we have to make things. I'd definitely still be making these things even if no-one ever saw them. In fact..until I had this channel very few people did see anything!☺️🪡🧵

Marion is totally an artist. Women's art has been getting more attention and gallery showings in the past 20 years. It's still a 'lesser" art than men's art. Some of the art in museums done by the menfolk is completely ridiculous but sells for multimillions.

Each tutorial is a treasure to me. I love the way your cat called you to come help her. That was lovely to see the bond between the two of you. Yes, I too feel like I am in a sewing circle when I listen and watch you sew, and do my hand work. Here in Idaho, the heat has been extreme, and so we have no appetite, but just relax and watch you and learn. 103 degrees F. possible tomorrow, but worse in other areas south of us. It takes a few moments to send you a note, but the time involved in replying to all really will use up an awful lot of your precious day. Just knowing you read them will be enough for most people, while a few may require a small response - perhaps to a question. Thank you so much Marion for yet another stitch path of delight. Each of these video's brings such vista's for the imagination. I like to make small center medallion lap blanket sized quilts and am always looking for new ways to make them appear more three dimensional. Your stitches are just the inspiration I needed. So thank you once again for taking time to share your talents. Here in the Pacific Northwest I grew up calling it Cow Parsley, just as you do. I thought both examples were lovely and added extra interest to your composition. We have this in our yard and it can really set me sneezing. I do wish it smelled as nice as it looks. How beautiful! ❤ I so love the flowers, you created! And your video was balm for my soul after a tiresome day, Not from the shift itself but from our extrem weather changes every day from refreshing to humide hot, so I am feeling like a sweating mess in my uniform. One more shift to go, then at least one day off, which will be sleeping, a little laundry and stitching in a shadowy place in nature where my dog can enjoy cooling baths any time: My "hold through vision" since days 🫠😉, but I don't want to sound complaining. I still love my job, the people and my colleagues plus I am so proud of myself since I built all the new shelves and drawers those past days. Means: I got some points done from my list and have more space for my books next to my bed, which looks lovely, also I got rid of some of my chaos corners. Your beautiful video was refreshing my mind together with your soothing voice and encouragement. Thank you, dear Marion. With your lovely foreground, it looks now like a shiny, slightly wavy lake, surrounded by fields in the middle of those beautiful sun rays. What an awesome summer scenery! I love dandelions so much and I will enjoy trying those and trying the other flowers as well. There is a smaller and similar kind in late summer with violett circled heads, I don't know the name, but I love it too and may try that variation or all together. Have a great weekend with peaceful warm garden moments and which whatever May does your soul good and gives you joy.
