When i saw their overtly loud and super camp intro i knew, they were too dumb and superficial to get this complex video about a song dealing with loss and loneliness. All they care about is how she looks lmao this song and video are way too deep. I guess they're just good to react to dumb disco music lol Thank god, there's much more intelligent reactors to Madonna on youtube.

@@Marc-zi5cq - Man you are so mean and critical! However, you’re not wrong. I think it’s impossible for them to get the true meaning of anything when they’re talking and not really giving the video their full attention, especially when it’s the first time they’ve ever seen it. I find them to be entertaining, even so. tbh, the looks Madonna was serving were really good though. I forgive them.

@@daphnemaxwell149 I didn't mean to be mean their over the top loudness and campness just did my head in, especially when they were watching something that's actually pretty deep, personal and meaningful. Being gay has nothing to do with just being all superficial and ''omg work bitch, serving looks, great weave, work'' If i want that i watch Drag Race. The message of song and video totally went over their heads as they were too busy being loud and overtly camp, so this reaction did absolutely nothing for me. I've seen people looking 10 years younger getting this video way better.

I like to believe he's the angel of death but in love with a human. He does give her the kiss of death in the end. There are parts that make me wonder if the angel is confused on whether he should do his duty or try to save her (blowing out the fire in the coffee shop). The video shows, basically, the last few days of her life. He could be her gardian angel or the angel of death lost between love and duty

Christopher Walken is her guardian angel. You can see on the newspaper he's reading that it says "Bloody Rampage" (about a serial killer). I always wondered about the crane they're sitting on at the end too - but this was directed by David Fincher and he's way too good so I think it was intentional - like maybe they're the "directors" of their lives or something? FYI, this was released at the PEAK of the first anti-Madonna backlash in 1993. The media said she was "over" and overexposed after the Sex book, radio and MTV barely played this song. Of course, she made a comeback the following year. But this was a difficult time to be a fan. Everyone hated her. :(

This song and music video was released in early 93. This song is about how her character comes to terms, makes peace and reconciles her feelings of pain from losing her mother from breast cancer when she was 5 years old. The lyrics "Bad girl drunk by six." & "Something's happened and I can't go back." are references to her mother's death. Her character was using smoking and having random sex as a form of addictions to numb the pain and avoid feeling the pain. And Christopher Walken was playing her Angel of Death who gave her the kiss of death. Her pain was too much that she knew that the last guy she hooked up with would kill her and knew instinctively that it was her time to go.

Madonna based this video on the movie Looking for Mr. Goodbar with Diane Keaton. About this school teacher who goes out to the bars and picks me many men but her last one kills her. The song is about Madonna losing a boyfriend and cant cope with the break up so she becomes promiscuous, drinks and smokes heavily but is not happy about it. In the video, Christopher Walken plays the angel of death hence the kiss towards the end. Moral is, be careful who you go home with, could be your last. My all time favorite Madonna song and video. Director David Fincher (Seven, The Game, Fight Club, Panic Room, etc) directed this for Madonna. He also previously directed her videos Express Yourself and Vogue. He is a fantastic director! To me, this is one of the best things shes ever done and she really puts herself out there and you can feel the sorrow and misery in the song.

The music video for "Bad Girl" features Madonna playing the character "Louise Oriole" (Madonna's middle name is Louise and Oriole is a street she once lived on), a high-powered and successful but ultimately lonely and depressed Manhattan female executive who is a chain smoking alcoholic with a penchant for one-night stands with many different men (from affluent yuppies to shady low-lifes).[8] She behaves this way in order to try and deal with her depression and sadness over a relationship with someone she loves deeply, but ultimately has no future. Through her days, Louise gets distracted by cigarettes, cocktails, and random hook-ups, as lamented in the song's lyrics.[8] Christopher Walken plays her guardian angel who watches over her self-destructive activities.[8] In one scene Louise wakes up alone in her bed after a one-night stand and discovers a hand-written note laying on the pillow beside her. She is clearly upset after reading the note and she crumples it and throws it to the ground. Another scene shows her passed out on an easy chair after drinking an entire bottle of wine in one sitting. The next scene shows her guardian angel reading the note which simply reads "thank you whoever you are." In a later scene her guardian angel delivers Louise with a "kiss of death" before her final encounter with a man, during which it is suggested she was strangled with her stocking.[8] After her death, she reappears as a spirit alongside with her guardian angel overseeing the police taking her body away to the morgue.[25]

Walken was het guardian angel. She slept around and strayed from house like a cat playing with her life like she has 9 lives... until she meets the wrong one, but she accepts it cause she wants to meet her dead lover/gardian angel. Many references to her being a cat (catsuit, stating out all night, a sigh of relief when she sees her own cat, she eats the cat food, overlooking the city like a cat. The smoke signals danger going to happen... she doesn’t know who she is anymore (the faceless painting) and her guardian angel gives her the kiss of death before she is murdered.
