We've got a bit of a knack for visiting places when we KNOW they're going to be more quiet, (o not really a knack, more of planning to make filming easier) so we were pleased the research paid off for the beach trip this time!

Thanks for posting. First time on your channel. As an American, Bondi to Bronte blew my mind and is a place that I want to keep coming back to. The people were friendly, the pools were cool (it was August), and the food was great. I stayed a week just off the beach and had an amazing time. Enjoyed that you included a stop at the Bogey Hole: classic. For the beach activities, I think Bronte was more my pace: seemed a bit more for the locals and less about the surf and the show.

There are so many Sydney beaches north and south of Bondi that are so much better, cleaner and less crowded. Or just South along the Illawarra coast, you could take a few weeks to visit a beach a day just on Wollongong's northern suburbs.

Thats what we think! Although we're kind of guessing/guesstimating a bit since we haven't been to all of them, but sometimes the most well known isn't the best

Tip for getting to Bondi from Downtown (CBD) jump on the 333 bus. Runs from Circular Quay down Elizabeth St, up Oxford St via Bondi Junction. Cheaper than Uber/Taxi

We have had really unusual weather in Australia this year, confluence of three weather events. The temps have been much lower than normal, thick and prolonged cloud cover, so the water hasn’t warmed up. It’s usually about 4C higher in the water and around 10C higher air temp at this time of year, which makes a big difference to swimming. One reason there’s fewer people than normal.
@DanegerAndStacey Жыл бұрын
It was definitely odd, but pretty in line with the strangeness of the weather in NZ as well. Have to admit it was quite nice that it wasn't 'dripping in sweat' kinda hot all day every day

North Bondi is a really nice view, the beach itself is pretty average by Sydney's standards but the surrounding streets, shops, restaurants etc are what make Bondi a great place to spend a day. Speedo's cafe near north Bondi is great too!

Hi Guys. My wife and I (we are in the UK) came across your vlogs about 6 months ago and I think we have watched all of them now. We spent a month in NZ a few years and love the memories your NZ vlogs bring back. By chance we are on of tour of Aus this Feb- March so your vlogs of Adelaine, Melbourne and Sydney have given us some food for thought. We have similar amounts of time in these cities as you have had. In particular you have helped us decide when we are in Sydney to do the Bondi - Bronte walk and a day trip to the Blue Mountains. Keep up the great vlogs and we love the dog and home updates.

Make sure you get down to the best SYDNEY beaches at Cronulla after you get back from the Blue Mountains. To find the best spots, do The Esplanade walk from Green Hills all the way to Salmon Haul Bay and keep your eye out for the little know Blackwoods beach - very secluded, but a little treasure there tucked in behind Shark Island. Don't worry, there are no sharks there - it's a lovely safe swimming spot only the locals use. there are 4 tracks to use to access the beach, but get a local to show you the one between the rocks! 😱

You are absolutely right. I much prefer the other small beaches around Bondi. It is indeed one of the best scenic walks I have ever done. so happy you did the walk.👏🏼👏🏼

Really nice video and scenery....btw saw a couple of drone shots in this video and in a few other of your videos around some of the Sydney & Melbourne areas....are we allowed to fly above those places or you guys have a permit? Also would you recommend walking from Bronte to Bondi or Bondi to Bronte, having done the latter?

I love so many things more in NZ than Australia, your beach town of Raglan was so beautiful had an amazing vibe, most of your food is way nicer the main thing Aussie’s do better is definitely wine in my opinion. Great video 😍
@reddog5378 Жыл бұрын
Someone else must have hijacked my phone because of course as an Aussie I promise this isn't me. I would also put NZ above Australia, what it may lack in typical golden sandy beaches it more than makes up for in beauty, friendliness and non competitive non show ponies in skimpy unsightly budgie smugglers prancing around turning everyone off their lunch or dinner.

Whoooop, digging the NZ love from all 3 of you in this little comment thread! Have to admit, Aus does seafood very well, but there's some weird common meals that drag down their cuisine (bloody chicken parma!) but for the most part the quality is pretty good. Raglan is such a vibe huh? Cool place
