Alternately it could mean the chorus was the hook they came up with and the verses were an afterthought. Not detracting from the song and thank goodness composing music doesnt require adhering to a fixed formula. Okay theres one golden rule. No Yoko Ono.

This is a masterwork of a music video. Any filmmaker with a camera two lights/gels and a computer can pull this off, yet you never lose visual interest. It’s so simple it’s genius. You don’t need a giant crew and a ton of money. You just need to stretch your creativity. It probably helps that the song is great too.
