Don't let the first level being absolute trash obscure the fact that these levels were ALL trash.

Amen. Seems like a lot of folks use redundant clear conditions as an excuse not to put checkpoints into super long levels.

8:44 Dave never did tell us about his business idea... 14:34 This is the moment Dave unironically says "aww man" in a level where you have to beat all the creepers 😂. 20:01 I didn't realize the Boom Boom had wings and I got so scared when he flew towards Dave. It was like when there's a bug in your room and you think you can handle it... but then it starts flying.

It's just a simple fun boss rush, it doesn't need one. Also, you can avoid the lava in the second half by sitting on one of the hidden blocks, also of course there's a dev item, why would they want to play their own level?

I only just started playing Mario Maker 2, just made a few levels so far. They aren’t perfect, but they’re not garbage either. Fighting all the koopalings is one thing (though even some of that looks obnoxious in design)… but having to pointlessly sit there and wait out the lava at the beginning? C’mon level creators, do better. Make levels that are hard, sure… but make sure they’re also FUN please.
