His best bench using a single ply suit is 760.6.. The shirt can add a 100 pounds. His best RAW bench is 474. Until he hits more than that in a real comp, then those are his actual PR's and that's it.

@@josephsummers2427 It typically adds at least that much, but the best shirt users in the world can get around 200kg (440lbs) from even a single ply shirt. The WR is 508kg and Jimmy Kolb isn't even known to have benched over 300kg raw.

I remember watching your bulking series back in the day and you went for a sausage sandwich/muffin (can’t remember exactly as was years ago when you were rocking the chinos) to get the calories in. I was so skinny back then, fact is I just simply didn’t eat enough. I remember following that series and gained a little bit of weight simply by eating more, even if it wasn’t super healthy ‘bodybuilder’ food it really helped me understand the frequency I had to eat to gain muscle/weight. Massive influence on my journey to where I am now and the size I am compared to what I used to be. And for that I’ll be forever thankful for your videos. Thanks Nick

If he wants to be acknowledged as the first 800lbs bencher, he needs to do it in an officially sanctioned meet. Not in some home-cooked setting where it is just him lifting. Anyone that has ever been a competitor in powerlifting would not hesitate to get into a meet if they were capable of a world record.

I'm not too sure either because on his ig back in october 8th of 2019 he has 445kg single ply bench attempt which he almost got. But in december 12 of 2019 he failed 370kg twice in a the meet. Unless he gotten injured during that time which will explain his performance but the massive gap in the gym vs in meet does not make him look good. Not to speculate too hard but it kinda shows a pattern of insane gym lifts to very lackluster meet perfromances when the standards are higher and the setting isn't 100% in his favor. To clear all this he just need to go into a meet and bench close to 720-740lb in a meet which there it'll be somewhat realistic that he has the strength to move a 804lb bench.
@tatskamaster
@tatskamaster 10 ай бұрын
Almost got, as in failed at the portion where you actually need to lift the weight and you don't get help from the suit.. He started that comp at 793lbs and failed that lift as well. His best single ply bench is 760.6lbs and the shirt can easily add a 100 pounds to your bench. Hell, equipped specialists can literally get around 400 pounds from a single ply shirt lmao! The WR is 1120 pounds (508kg) By Jimmy Kolb, whos best raw bench is a little over 600lbs lol.. Theres literally no way he is now suddenly benching 800 pounds RAW, when his best equipped bench is 760lbs. His real max is more than likely 700 pounds at the most.

I watched your original video for the 700 pound plus bench pressers and found it very entertaining. As a matter of fact that was my introduction to your channel at which time I became a subscriber. I’ve been lifting on and off since 1986. I have spotted a friend of mine many many times benching 450 pounds plus for doubles. He lifts and competes raw and lifetime drug-free with his heaviest bench at 510 pounds in a meet. He did do 550 pounds for one rep on the decline bench in the gym. While I think the Iranian is strong, there is no way he bench anything close to 804 pounds.

Zemani took 4 years to get his raw bench from 440 lb to low 600s (a quite elite bench even at that point) but then takes only a year and a half to go from that already elite bench (low 600s) to 800 lb? there's just no way, that's not how strength progression works. First time he benched 285 kg (628 lb) it was an absolute grinder, then less than two months later he's pushing 300 kg like an empty bar, just pure BS. Also there's his refusal to do a real meet unless serious money is offered, only people that have something to hide do this. Cash to cushion the blow of destroying his own reputation. Or the fact that after this he's "off the drugs for his health" and back to pressing in the 500s and low 600s, not even coming close to touching the numbers he was doing in the lead up to his "record". There's just a mountain of stuff around this guy that doesn't pass the sniff test.

Well said. People are so eager to make excuses. Iran is not some backwater in the middle of nowhere, it's an oil rich country. The fact that it has well equipped gyms should tell people what they need to know on that front. Iran has a women's powerlifting team. Think about that. There are sanctioned meets in Iran, but Zamani could have lifted in Russia or one of the Gulf states with no visa. Peiman Maheripourehir trains with Eleiko plates. Iran has had several studly special Olympics weightlifters, where bench is the only contested lift, so the idea that Zamani could not get anyone with a knowledge of bench calls to verify his lifts is laughable. Excuses excuses. It might be real, but Zamani is not doing himself any favours. Wonder why?

They DO have Eleiko weights in Iran. Iran is an international weightlifting powerhouse.

Nick can you share your thoughts on Thor’s 501kg deadlift record set during the pandemic on a live stream in his home gym??? Im not arguing the legitimacy of Thors 501kg, I remember them filming themselves weighing the plates and having a official judge. In my opinion, Eddie still holds the record at 500kg because his record was set in an actual meet / event.

You mean the event where Eddie chose the weight jumps and the rest in between lifts not just for him but for everyone else as well? Sorry but the whole “competition setting” argument goes out the window when the most crucial factors were catered to your specific needs. These aren’t conspiracies either. It’s been mentioned by Jerry Pritchett and Brian Shaw.

Yeah eddie had almost 100% control in the 500kg event. Unlike in powerlifting the lifter has zero control over the flow and conditions in which they lift in. So thor's and eddie's lifts are fairly even in standards of strongman.

@@tylerstronk thor had less control than eddie did and no crowd to hype him up. Thor's lift is far, far more impressive than eddie's ever will be.

It's shit how it was done and he should've just waited but there was covid and everything was being done different and it was sanctioned so you have to count it also all the years prior people were beating the record by one kilo including Eddie so just because he did 500 there's no reason someone needs to beat it by more than 1kg. Also as people stated above its not like Eddie just competed he controlled everything to get the lift

It didn’t look hard, looked like he could do a couple more reps. It’s supposed to be 804 not 504. No way!
