Taking steroids doesn't just magically make your deadlift 900lbs+. Good job Pete, that's crazy for 245.

@ianm16888 жыл бұрын
Turtle man Aka the turtleinatorrrr lolololol derrrr You clearly have no experience other than google-Would love to see the study that steroids increased muscle cell nuclei from exactly 8 to 12, or how it would put on lean muscle mass to someone who isn't stimulating the muscle.
@ianm16888 жыл бұрын
All that and you never even provided the source for the 8 to 12 nuclei number you tossed out there. "they were originally designed to put lean mass on people who couldn't move. burn victims etc." First, they don't shoot up paraplegics or people who 'can't move' with testosterone. Hormone therapy is used in treatments ranging from aids to cancer, as well as any diseases that it can aid to prevent muscle degeneration but in all cases they are all still capable of stimulating the muscle. Second, you're completely incorrect on the origin. Steroids never became a "thing" until WWII and then the Olympics (very clearly not for "people who couldn't move and burn victims"), and even before then the use of synthetic testosterone was for men who couldn't properly produce the hormone. Pretty bold move throwing the word 'tard' out there for such an uneducated dumbass.

Other elite deadlifters being 350+lbs isn't worth mentioning imo. Deadlift is the least bodyweight dependent lift and the most leverage dependent lift. Gain 50lbs and your deadlift aint' just gonna go up by default. Not taking anything away from pete, 920 is incredible for anyone.

You're right. This is also why the bigger guys usually squat more weight than they deadlift. It's also why Eddie Hall and Brian Shaw have shitty form. They're simply too big to get into proper positioning.

Just bringing my 25kg ivanko plates to fit all the weight on a bar ;) Thoughts on programming: "I just start meet prep with heavier weight and I finish with heavier weight; he is THE MAN!

+Brutus Harvenius Then you shouldnt be able to arch ur back in bench or have a wide stance in squat. So what we end up with is, no wider thn shoulder width stance in squat and no knees out cuz less travel distance shoulder width stance at most in deadlift no feet on floor in bench to prevent anyone from arching. The rule is that ur not allowed to minimize any distance traveled

Good body type for deadlifting. Fairly tall but with disproportionately long arms and torso, makes the pull a lot shorter but still has good leverage. I don't care if he's on the juice. Nobody is getting to a 900 pull natural. That being said, it takes great genetics, hard work, strict diet, and controlled lifestyle to reach this level. Steroids are a supplement to that, but they don't make a couch potato a champion.

Mr Rubish it is a pleasure to see you mature into one of the best deadlifters in the world. You have came along ways from the "fuck that shit" yelling and it's great to see. Good luck tomorrow at the boss of bosses.

Kind of wish Pete could talk about gear. You could tell he was kind of bullshitting his way around it when nick asked what he attributed his insane progress in the last year to.
@evanfabio82538 жыл бұрын
he did talk alot about his gear usage in his channel but I think he's trying to protect his images here since he's sponsored by ANIMALPAK (his shirt)
@rekkatectraininghq38528 жыл бұрын
actually he use way way less gear than before he admitted some week ago under his video

+rekkaTEC training HQ I'm commenting on this only to confirm that Pete did admit he spends less on gear than we would expect

This dude is awesome I hope that power lifting can start drawing in some money so these elite athletes can just continue to break some crazy records. Is the Sheffield going to happen this year that definitely seemed like a step in the right direction

He said that last year and has spoken about coming back on shortly after that. His arms have always had bad acne since he first started using more heavily.

@dntwantgglplus8 жыл бұрын
+TraumaER aging is caused by the small amounts of dna that are missed during cell replication. Every new cell had slightly less dna than the original cell. If you're on gear your cells replicate a LOT faster, which is why your recovery improves. Faster replication = more dna loss = faster aging

***** He is on gear, he is pretty open about it. He said that he was suppose to be cutting back on it though. But it doesn't look like he has.

@burritodog36346 жыл бұрын
i think pete can no doubt hit 1000. When he lifted that 920, he held it up there for a few seconds and dropped it with some control, not just a slam, which shows he probably has a lot more strengh in him

I started deadlifting when I was 14 repping 155kg at 87kg, I'm now 16 pulling singles of 230kg at 94kg body weight. We both have exactly the same technique!

That is really impressive. He is lifting 3.75 times his body weight. Really Big guys like 6'9" Thor are only doing about 2.38 times their body weight. That's huge difference. He may be the strongest man in the world by weight ratio. Pound for Pound he is a lot stronger than Thor.

sirslaughter00 bruh u act like you could deadlift 920 if u used steroids
@sirslaughter004 жыл бұрын
Josh Krawczyk not at all. The original commenter is comparing this guy to Thor, claiming that he is stronger “pound for pound” and saying how impressive that is. It isn’t a fair comparison because not only is Thor lifting more, he is also not on STEROIDS. So, not so impressive. Also, body weight multiples is a stupid way to compare strength.
