It's crazy, because u look at what he said about the fans standing more behind JJ who is a drug addict, who hit a pregnant lady and has been a careless selfless champion, and D.C. has been a steady good character dude, and it's true! Metaphor The Great​ I think he's got a better chance simply because of the one shot power. He really can knock out anyone on the planet if he connects clean. Jones is no superhero to take clean punches from a phenom like rumble. But I agree that I don't see rumble landing. The only shot I think he'd have a chance with is the weird uppercut/hook he throws. Jones sometimes covers up in a kind of long guard defence but without the front hand always extended so I could see a shot getting through. If rumble can effectively feint hooks and make jon react to set it up its a good shot for him. But I don't see anything else he catches Jones with. I think Jon take him down repeatedly and submits him in 3 or gnp finish

His analogy of Jones being the "high school" quarterback hanging around is totally inaccurate. Usually those quarterbacks hang around high school parties because they didn't make it beyond there and cling that. Jones was/is the most dominant Champion in the biggest organization. Regardless of his troubles outside of the cage he accomplished more than Cormier will and will go down as a HOF already. Cormier is enjoying this too much but at the end of the day he will have to beat Jones to solidify himself as being the best. He needs to get past Rumble first.

Jones crashed into a pregnant woman, tested positive for steroids, showed no remorse for his actions, then got banned from the UFC. We've already saw this match up in Mcgregor and Diaz, we know DC can take a punch anyways. AJ might get lucky and take DC's head off, but even if he does, DC won't take that lying down, he'll be back for the belt, so will John..
