It was nice to see how Russell toned himself down to the sweet nature of Daniel (apart from the occasional terrible question), a man who gave all the love and joy that he could- such a shame to see him go. RIP

I think Daniel Johnston is a very talented person who took a disadvantage and made it to an advantage. He's amazing in a unique way.

Daniel is one if not the only artist I have ever come across that is 100% genuine...not about money..fame..simply can't help being himself ..a gentle soul ..most heartfelt music I know of..u don't get this often

Daniel seems like such a sweet, honest and genuine guy. It’s a shame what he had to go through in life. I would’ve loved to have a conversation with this man.

Honestly Am I the only one that hates how many times they asked Daniel that question about the Plane crash? you can tell he didn't understand much of what happened or the gravity, yet they still kept asking him that dang question... just look up the other times he answered it! he was some where else he doesn't even know, makes me sad.

It was honestly a very insensitive interview imo. And don't even get me started on him bringing courtney love into the studio, after acting like he was talking nice on kurts memory 🙄

I agree 100% I wish I could've interviewed Daniel myself, I'd have so many questions to ask. All these interviews are so cookie cutter.. it's so frustrating. We could've learned so much more about him if he was given the proper interviews.

I imagine that a lot of people just don't know how to or are offput when they are interacting with someone with mental health issues to the degree that Daniel did.@@SolvingOurKreation
