Wonder if they tested the red paint transfer. That is the thing that makes me feel like there is foul play and if there was a crash between another vehicle there has got to be a crash site near by.
@W7DSY Жыл бұрын
I can't tell you if they tested the paint, but I can tell you there would be NO way to ascertain a crash site with another vehicle. The desert is like a chalkboard that is chalked up and then erased day-by-day, month-by-month. My question is, if he just crashed, where's the body? He could NOT have walked out of there with no clothes and shoes in the heat of the day. Yet, despite many intensive searches--nothing.

I think that kid might have ran into something he wasnt supposed to see out there. He had to have been going a little fast to run off that road put the jeep on its side and still try n start it 40 something times. That seems like a desperate attempt to get out of there in a hurry.

@scottm89142 жыл бұрын
Have followed this story since learning of it last year. Fantastic that you took us to see the route and even his last known location with his coworker. From every angle this disappearance makes no sense. I think the black box in the car is telling. If a car was restarted that many times that would show to me that he was well aware of the situation and panicked to no end trying to get the car started and get out of there. That would mean he was aware of something extreme about to happen to him and he was petrified. Why would someone intend to rob him yet leave his wallet and phone, the only things i would assume had any monetary value
@raerae6422 Жыл бұрын
Id never considered that the jeep was placed at that location until this video. Its possible Daniel's abductor was the one that was desperate to move the jeep, trying 46 times to start it. I hope the investigators took note of the drivers seat position. Apparently, Daniel was slightly short. My bet is still with the work colleague. The story about following Daniel's tracks because he was worried about this guy who he had never met before sounds like bs to me. I feel like Daniel found something out and was silenced.
@magmajctaz14052 жыл бұрын
I am skeptical he actually drove his vehicle into that ditch. I do not claim my memory is perfect, but I seem to recall hearing on the news that his vehicle had actually been driven for some time and distance after the airbags were deployed. If that is true, I suspect, foul play was at work, and he might not have abandoned his vehicle in that ditch, but it may have been dumped there. Others have commented that it was likely not murder, as his wallet and money were left. But there are other reasons someone would want someone dead. I have spent a lot of time in the desert, and I have to consider when hiking how much weight I want to carry. Even if I leave my wallet behind, because I don't need money in the desert, I will take my ID with me. If I need to be rescued, or heaven forbid I die, my ID will help with identification of me or my remains. Yes, I do think about the possibility of my own death when hiking.

Interesting video, Stan! Definitely is a mystery. I was curious - what drives your interest in this particular case?
@W7DSY2 жыл бұрын
Well, it's only about a 40 minute drive from my house, so that makes it an easy exploration. Plus, there's so much of this particular disappearance that just plain doesn't make sense. Robinson wasn't a dumb kid, but he was acting weird; he showed up for work, but then he totally vanished; the terrain is not complex, but there's nothing left to find; his clothes and personal effects were left behind on a hot day. Who would do that? Seems like everything amounts to a bunch of non-sequiturs. Frank, I went out there with a couple of the search parties, and I'll be damned if that many people searching on 20+ search missions couldn't have come up with something related to Daniel Robinson--if he was out there.

Goes to show that perspective is everything. When you first looked down into the ravine where the crash occured, Hidden Arizona, the drop didn't appear too severe. When you looked up at your vehicle from where Daniel's Jeep came to rest, however, it's a wonder there wasn't a fireball resultant of the rollover. This story reminds me of another presented on a channel to which I once subscribed. Long story short, a woman became stranded in the desert at a location from which the lights of a sizable town could be seen at night. If I recall correctly, it was well over a year between the time the woman's car was located and when searchers finally located her remains--in a direction toward the town from the car. Perhaps, for the sake of his family, the same will happen in regards to Daniel's recovery. Very sad story, Hidden Arizona, but thank you for presenting it.

Salient fact: the black box on the car also revealed...eventually...that the car was driven for 11 miles AFTER a wreck (presumably after the airbags were deployed), but that was BEFORE it ended up there in the ditch (and the way the car was found, it makes you wonder if he his his forehead when he crashed (because that is where the prefrontal cortex is and all executive function). One would think the vehicle's onboard computer would give them the exact time the airbags were deployed, and the exact time the last engine turnover happened. Thank you so much for driving out to this fairly remote area and giving the broader public, who may have never been to AZ, an idea of just how far out this place is...and just how hot the temps were that day and the next...and how far he would have had to walk, presumably in the hottest part of the day. Seriously, you did a great job here, and it's very kind and empathic of you to try and help this father find his son, or at least find out what happened to him. Sometimes I wonder, when I pass by a homeless encampment if I should walk over and try to find someone and ask if they've seen an African American man with one hand because he is missing and may have a head injury. Since you were empathic toward this young man and his father, I subscribed. Thank you for being a good citizen of the world!

The 'black box' is fallible as I understand it. For instance, I have heard that merely turning the ignition on, doing nothing else, can present the device with an event. As for any discovery of Daniel being alive, I think that is only an extreme possibility, as the remoteness of the area, the weather, and the fact he was likely unclothed, including shoes, make this only a remote possibility. but it brings to mind other findings, like, if he was in such a state, why has NO evidence been found after all the searching that has been done? This one will be one for the history books, along with Kenny Veach and others.

Excellent video. There is big article on the Foxnews website about this today. They made a big deal about him acting strangely leading up to this, not just at the job site. Like perhaps he had a brain tumor or a psychiatric condition, given his age maybe schizophrenia, just guessing. His car was not upright in the pics, so attempting to start it made no sense, either he was out of it or crashed somewhere else and then this crash site was staged. There was also water in the car. It could have been staged and foul play but there is no mention of any enemies and given his behavior leading up to this a medical or mental condition is most likely the cause. Excellent video. Clear, concise information and it was good to see the lay of the land. I have explored and SARed the Arizona desert (east) for decades and I can agree that the victim would not have lasted long in the summer heat. The fact that his clothes were found is a very common result of hyperthermia. He may have been dehydrated at the job site to begin his ordeal (your other comments and observations might also apply). A short video of the damaged vehicle showed evidence of dipping hard on a shallow ravine deploying the airbags coming out the other side. And, of course, the later rollover was the end of the line. I might have joined the search but was in the hospital with a severe case of Covid/Delta at that time. I am going to look at your site. I'll bet there is a ton of good viewing.

I am wondering, what is being done with that land where the orange tank was? It is now 2023 and this video was shot in 2022. I had a school friend who was killed by the infamous serial killer John Wayne Gacy, and they found the victim’s car sitting in a empty parking lot, with the keys in the ignition and the car was left running (but ran out of gas) and his wallet, money, his watch sitting on the front seat of the car. I don’t understand why Daniel would have left his cell phone and shoes in the car if he was stuck out in the desert (this makes no sense) There is a similar story of a young man who also went missing in the Utah desert outside of Salt Lake City, UT (Dillon Rounds), who is also still missing as of 6/2023. Many have made accusations that Daniel was suffering from mental health issues, but his family has firmly denied this, as they said there were no signs of this when they spoke with Daniel. I would think his Dad would have found some of Daniel’s bones if Daniel had perished out in the desert. They have covered a vast area where he disappeared and nothing. I hope his family receives some news about what happened to Daniel very soon!! Prayers going out to his family 🙏🏼🙏🏼😇😇

This is a strange case, and I've gone from thinking Daniel just lost his way to thinking there was some foul play involved. But I also think was some kind of mental aberration involved in this. Why were his wallet and cell phone just laying on the ground? If he wasn't paying attention and drove into the ravine, crashed and then went for help, he would have taken wallet and phone. The wallet would have been in his pocket anyway. The personal effects sure seem placed there. His shoes were there? Let's say he was on LSD, crashed his car, took off his shoes and ran into the desert tripping out, got lost...well it was a wide open area and not that remote. no trees to get lost in and just 2 miles from a paved road. he would have found the road eventually. even if he did die out there, the cadaver dogs easily would have found remains. pretty basic. from online photos he was clearly gay. i bet he parked his car, got into the other guy or guys vehicle, and it turned out they were not gays but young hispanic gangsters who took him, tortured him, and killed him. then they plotted to make it look like he crashed to cover up their foul play. why did he leave work after 15 minutes? for a hookup with drivers he encountered on the way to the work site.
