Totally agree with you ! I only verticut mow as often as I can , feed , use honda to cut and hoover , then greensmaster 1600 for final cut so as not to hoover up any feed or seed!

I've heard you say in multiple videos that you do not believe in aerating a lawn but I've not heard an explanation as to why. And does that also apply to a lawn that has clay soil? Thanks!

@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert lol. Great to see different perspectives though. Obviously you know your stuff and what works for you. I haven't a clue but many swear by it I did overseeding a few weeks ago and it's growing through. I also did some bare patches. Maybe I should've used extra seed and gone on at 70 with the drop spreader but see how it goes and put some more down in the spring if not worked out well? Also I should've bought barenbrug but I will in spring. I tried the fleece sheeting method and it worked fine not sure if I needed it though? Some say grass needs sunshine etc and obviously with the fleece it didn't get much sun but I enjoyed the process. Cracking vids you have

if I cut to No2 on the Hayer, my lawn looks awful, it's in decent condition atm too :/ would love to go that low, but it's just yellow, maybe a case of too much off too quickly?

Well mine does here but if you have cut at 3 or 4 all year you cant then go to 2 and expect it to look good, gotta just go at what looks good this time of year unless your doing a renovation like this

Have you ever experimented with Kentucky Bluegrass? In the Northern, cool region of the U.S., it works well mixed with Perennial Rye and Tall Fescue.

Depends on the lawn/soil. Can work absolute wonders on heavy, poor draining waterlogged soil. I’ve found it’s not necessary as “routine maintenance” compared to thatch removal.

Skurvster, I too have warm season grass, GNZ ZOYSIA, in N.C. I wish there was a way to keep it somewhat green in the winter. I do not over-seed and I usually hit it a couple of times in the fall with Southern Ag Chelated Liquid Iron. Where are you located?
