I'm African American, And I don't really listen to country but I know who Garth Brooks is. That man is a National Treasure. When you see someone genuinely being empathic towards another human being, that is god showing the greatness of his creation. it's not about color, it's not about race, it's about compassion and understanding. Lately there's been a lot of hatred and segregation, but what we need is love and unity ! Only WE can make America great again... not these corrupt, racist, politicians. "Thunder Rolls and Lightning Strikes", RESPECT to this man ! And to the lady with Cancer...KEEP FIGHTING SISTA !!!

Ryan Hilldale, what the fuck are you talking about ? I said nothing negative. I was merely stating that as an African American man, I can appreciate this awesome act of love ! It's YOU, who is trying to twist my comment and pick a fight ! Grow up It's idiots like you, who is ruining this country !
@roneenewton59017 жыл бұрын
+Ryan Hilldale, I just wanted to hammer home the fact that, race has NOTHING to do with "love" and "compassion" ! That even though " country" might not be my cup of tea, I can still stand and salute this man for doing away with his "celebrity" and humble himself, to show this woman, love and support ! Some people would think, this is "country" or "these are white people, why would you care" ? But I just wanted it to be known that we are One People, One Country and EVERYONE should be treated with love and empathy, because we are ALL human beings ! White people, or "country folk", isn't the only kind that can respect this...a black, San Diego man can also !
@roneenewton59017 жыл бұрын
+Ryan Hilldale, you are a fucking idiot, I'm done entertaining you. You CLEARLY can't comprehend English. I hope in the future, someone reads your replies and show you your ignorant ways. Either way, I will block notifications from you, because I don't want to be bothered with your stupidity. All the best.

+Thomas Jansson Well thank you. Honestly I didn't even know the name of the song but thanks to you, and Beard Man, and I guess Sign Lady too, this all makes a tremendous lot of sense. Sometimes I seem to ignore that which I do not understand, and it does no one any good. I have a neighbour who I never liked, and the guy got cancer, and was damn lucky to survive it. When he returned from hospital he told me of a 7 year old girl in his ward that knew she was a goner and asked for only one thing. She wanted butterflies to be released at her funeral, so that when her loved ones saw one they would know that she had asked it to watch over them. I planted a butterfly garden that year and I keep it well weeded still.

I dont care if you care, but I feel entitled to say this with people dieting all around me and no one knowing what to really do: change your diet for the better and you wont follow the footsteps of your family. Feel your body and know whats bad for you, and also you must follow a balanced,raw, "strict"... In theory you should go vegetarian. I will not give any more advice since I am not an expert( do you really think doctors are expert though? 99 percent will actually make money off your health being destroyed not improved). Do not bother making fun of this post because I wont waste my time fighting a losing battle with ignorant people- I cannot change your opinion or bias. Do some serious research. (the words diets as in things like "lemon diet" and temporary are both not a part of this nutrition; it is something you stick with your whole life). Believe it or not most people are dieing from wrong nutrition/ diet (diet as in the synonym form for nutrition) , air pollution, and "toxins" of various types, forms, and amounts like GMOs etc. Basically artificial crap.I wont argue or listen to your point of anything. I did what I feel was right and will move on. Take care!

As I watch this video, tears are pouring from my eyes. As a fighting breast cancer patient, I have at least three years remaining on hormone treatment before being considered cancer free. There are different types of breast cancer and the one I have,HRT2 positive is the one most noted to reoccur. Living everyday not knowing if even the smallest particle of a cancer cell is growing somewhere inside of me makes everyday stressful. Being diagnosed during a pandemic certainly did not help matters, and with lockdowns and COVID restrictions, I had to endure a full year of harsh treatments alone. My only hope now is to be able to hold a sign up saying “I am cancer free”.

WOW beautiful and I've got tears pouring down my face. He's got a heart of gold! My Son does karaoke and I went with him one night and asked the DJ if he could do something for me. I've been crippled in a car accident since 2001 and I walk with 2 canes. I used to be a ballroom dancer. My Son's dad was a horrible dancer and when Son was born I said I'm growing my own dance partner. Then the accident and I never danced again. Until that night in karaoke - the DJ played my request, this song and called my Son up and said there's a lovely lady that wants to dance with you and he walked over to me. Yes I wanted to dance with my grown Son, my homegrown dance partner. My Son gladly accepted and whispered to me "Mom, I've got this. I won't let you fall." I hung a cane on each of his arms and he held me and we did a very slow shuffle dance. It was MY Dream!

Garth came over and visited, then invited my son (9yrs old then) to his table to sit. We have a great picture and a treasured memory. Dad said Garth has always been a one of the kindest artist he had met.

My wife died from a broken heart not cancer. Actually, it broke 3 time. The first two times doctors were able to make repairs, the third time they tried but were unsuccessful. This song was/is special because we had a short time to dance together. When I hear it now or infrequently sing it at karaoke, I get to relive that dance for a short time. Seeing this video even though it not new brought those memories I cherish back again. Thank you, Mr. Brooks.

@Alle Warten Auf Das Licht Actually, cancer, like all diseases and problems in this world, is a result of mankind's rebellion against God. God created us perfect and we would never have gotten sick or had a single bad thing happen, but because of sin, we seperated ourselves from God's perfection. That is why He had to step into human history as Jesus, to make a way for our sins to be removed, but only if we accept that Jesus is our saviour and follow Him. So WE are responsible for all the bad things in the world, not God.

You can find video after video just like this. I pray that that beautiful lady went on to beat cancer. She definitely has one amazing story to tell. My cousin got engaged at a Garth Brooks concert. He stopped the show and offered to pay for their Honeymoon in Hawaii. Not only did he follow through with that amazing gesture, they had to leave the honeymoon early because they received news that my cousin's Mother-In-Law had unexpectedly passed away. Garth found out about this and sent them back to Hawaii for their one-year anniversary so they could complete the vacation. In my personal opinion 98% of this type of music is (same as modern rock, 100% for top 40) nothing but flimsy, recycled, minimalist-hack inspired crap that's been heavily recycled and watered down. It smacks of arrogant, born again, Jesus only loves a white southern Baptist led 'Murica, bubble gum bullshit lyrics. It's become a pathetic and shameful shadow of something once great. Although I suppose another way of looking at this is that the lesson of the day here is; "Don't judge a book by its cover?"

Garth Brooks is as genuine, nice and humble as he appears. He used to live nearby and we'd see him in stores a kids ball games, just a regular guy. I almost ran into him with my shopping cart, when coming around a corner. Not realizing who he was, I thought he was someone I knew, so I said "Hi!" He just grinned and said Hi right back, just like were friends. He was wearing a pink hoodie & getting groceries. THEN I realized who he was! ☺

I have always loved Garth Brooks and his music but this took my respect for him to another level. Having gone through Cancer treatments,Chemo and Radiation plus surgeries to my throat and face leaving me with permanent nerve pain and issues I have the utmost respect for him doing this.That is the sign of a kind soul that gets why they're here on this planet, God bless him and God bless that women. I pray that she has remission and stays in remission the rest of her life with little to no lasting issues.Good job Garth for being an example of a good and kind human being, the world needs more like him.
