I actually love Yan Wushi so much xD he had me laughing all throughout vol 4 but I get where you're coming from!! Also nice artbooks!! I'm going to Japan soon and hoping to pick some up, definitely wanna get the 20072017 Kou Yoneda one!!

I love him as a character and their interactions in this book were hilarious. I would usually enjoy that dynamic a lot in a couple, but I just don't like them together for some reason lol 😂 You should definitely pick up some artbooks, I hope you enjoy your trip! ☺

You say "machine translated" and I made this face: 🤢 I agree that the art for Thousand Autumns is absolutely GORGEOUS and it's such a high bar. I was honestly expecting more volumes of Guardian, but I'm kinda pleased to hear that this one is kinda short and sweet. I suppose normal people don't consider 3 volumes to be short, but ::side eyes HOB:: 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Devil Villain Also Wants to Know looks so fun! I might have to find that one online to start reading. 😂😂 right? I was so excited for some of the titles they picked up too. HOB and 2HA are the titles that come to mind when I think of long danmei series, so Guardian is short in comparison lol. Thousand Autumns has gorgeous art! I believe the same artist will be working on the other series by Meng Xi Shi that got licensed by 7S 🙂 If you do read Devil Venerable... let me know what you think! SPL vol 1 just explored the emotional connection of the characters and not romance so its valid you won't like it. I actually think Priest's romance cater to demiaroace outlook of romance since the platonic relationship is explored first before the romance will start and Priest don't write smut scenes but there's only implication. I actually find SPL romantic because the communication game of the main couple is goals. And yeah, you're not the only one. Chang Geng also grow to me as a character as time goes by. I'm sure SPL fans continue reading it for Gu Yun but later fell in love to Chang Geng's character. Shen Yi, Gu Yun's righthand man is also notably a great character.

Whoa, I completely agree with you that Priest's romance caters to a demiaroace outlook. There is a lot of focus on building an emotional connection like you mentioned and that is usually the basis of the relationships of most of their couples I've read. I really do appreciate Chang Geng's growth as a character and what it means for his relationship with Gu Yun. Similarly, I love Shen Yi's relationship with Gu Yun, it is one of my favorite parts of the story.
