As someone who wore these as work boots, the leather is rather thin and I wrecked them fast. I might recommend a boot with a thicker upper if your intention is for work. They are good for summer though, my feet never got particularly hot.
@jes13752 жыл бұрын
I have these in brown, BUY THE WHITE'S MOC TOE or MILLWOOD in the $250 range. I have the MILLWOOD and they are better in every way I'm aware of. The Danner's leather is thin and the tongue is not well designed for comfort. After giving up after a year or two, I decided to cut the tongue fold in several pain places, now the Danner's fit much better. I have read online of other people having the same issue. Never had to do this on any boot before. White's Millwood comfortable on day one and the leather is a thick, work type. Danner 503 last 13EE is tennis shoe sizing for me and fits well. White's Millwood is a 12.5 EE and are about an 1/10 of an inch longer than the 13EE Danner 503 last/boot. MILLWOOD'S fit well.

Hi Nick, big fan here. I purchased a pair of black Bull runs based on your review, as I liked the look, and that soft outsole really appealed to me. I did have a rather long break in, as I needed to keep my laces fairly tight to stop heel slip. But after about 5 weeks of every other day wear, they finally relented and are extraordinarily comfortable now. That stitch down upper is fantastic, and a lot more comfortable for me than having my big and little toe riding on the welt all day. I still have Red wing and Thorogood mocs, but these are my go-to. Once broken in, the Danners provide me the best all day comfort on the concrete shop floor. Its subjective, but I love the look of this boot. Thanks so much for pointing this boot out Nick, as it was not on my radar.

@josephphillip2 жыл бұрын
I have liked my Bull Runs but they are not a substantial work boot. I'd say a good, light duty work boot and a very good casual boot. The leather is relatively thin. The soles wear about average to other Christy soles. Fit is slightly wide, which is nice. Ran true to size. Im a 12.5 brannock and a 12D ended up fine. A 12 wide would've been best, but the leather did stretch after a lot of wear. The fabric liner in the heel and forefoot of these boots does wear out and they will eventually have holes in them; boots I have with leather on the interior wear much longer. Mine are about at the end of their life-span and I've decided not to re-sole these boots and move on. All in all, I did like them-- none of the stitches ever busted and I always thought they looked good and they are fairly priced. With a more substantial mid-sole, slightly thicker leather, and leather reinforcement on the inside, this could be a really nice boot but of course it'd cost $100 more.
