Elfman mentioned that the film was drastically recut, presumably to make it less scary, which might have been responsible for the horrible third act.

Treasure - Thx for the unload! I once heard that Jimmy Iovine screwed Danny Elfman over the Scrooged soundtrack. He loading it with no name Garage bands from his Interscope label and didn't include any of Elfman's score. It was a truly lousy album. (I had my revenge years later when I dispatched a Stretch limo to pick him up. I sent an aggressively stupid driver who got lost getting Iovine home one night.)

@Tubetheweb Sorry this is all I have and I'm pretty sure it's the only music that's ever been officially released for this score. As far as making video to go a long with the score, well possibly it would be time consuming but cool especially if it were synced up to the score in the movie, kind of like an "isolated score".

The score was never released on CD. If you watch the film, most of the score is released in this suite, although some of the cues are out of order. Bryant Burnette Not really, but at the time I uploaded this the score was not available as it is now. You had to hunt down Music for a Darkened Theatre Vol. 1. This suite was the only commercially released music from the movie for 23 years. Luckily La-La-Land Records eventually released the complete score.
