Simon was terrible in his later years, and the ratings actually went UP in season 10 after he left. And X Factor flopped. So yeah. There were many seasons better than 8 that came after and ESPECIALLY 9.

It should have been Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey in the finale, Allison Iraheta in 3rd, and Kris Allen in 4th. I mean Kris Allen is talented and stuff, but Adam and Danny are both better than him. I was never an Idol fan. I'm just realizing that Danny was on Idol. I also just watched a montage of Adam Lambert's performances. Adam is a screamer. Danny is a SINGER. It's not even close!! I was definitely upset when Danny was eliminated! But with as well as he's doing on the Christian/Worship scene, he is proof you don't have to win a TV show to have a successful career! I used to feel not winning Idol or any reality show would be a cloud that would hang over your head for the rest of your life, but it's only a minor setback most of the time!
